I do the same exact thing. I'm always afraid of creepers coming into my base.
this is NOT silly security is paramount in my castle yards, trap doors and arrow launchers with golems roaming about, the portal chamber has a special security feature in the form of a retractable floor that leads to a watery grave, cause those damn nether zombies just laugh at fire
1. Whenever I'm running from something, (Creeper, PVP-er, ETC.) I yell: "SQUIGGLY SQUID MANEUVER! SQUIGGLY SQUID!"
2. Whenever I see a monster near lava I knock them in and say "PUSH YOU INTO FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNCCCCCCEEEEEE!!!!" (idk...)

If I see a creeper, I have to lead it like 100 blocks away from my house before I attempt to slay it. Also, I eat steaks even if my hunger is half a bar from full. Oh and I like building with melons in survival.
I can't leave any items. If a piece of dirt falls down a ravine, I have to get it. If I do have to empty my inventory, I just build a chest and leave junk in it. I almost never go back for the chests.
I make iron golems. As in, plural. The village I'm in right now has three golems in it even though it has a wall around it. Although I must admit it was worth it seeing them team up to kill an enderman.
@quick - Yeah, I also tend to eat "healthy" foods even when close to full hunger
@9Roran - Interesting. And "France"? Why not "Sparta"?
@Red - Hmm, interesting as well.
Well, my 7 year old brother says; "If I say diamonds are kings, and lava is frrance, I could say THROW A KING IN FRAAAAAAAAAANCE!!!!!!!!" Then he throws all his diamonds in "France".

I too am a top leaf breaker. I do it because I like to think it speeds up the rest of the leaves wilting. I have to keep the lines that equipment and items make in my backpack even. They have to make complete squares or rectangles or I'll cringe every time I open my pack.
If I'm making boats and I end up with an odd number of planks left I will always put one plank in a chest because you can't really do anything with that last odd one. And I won't throw it away either, I save it for the next time it happens. :3
Come to think of it, hitting the last leaf on the standing tree may be the weirdest thing I do. I thought it was always placing torches on the right and with 8 open blocks around it on staircases or strip mines, eye level...but ya, hitting that last bunch of foliage at the top bugs me now.
Thanks!
I DO have inventory slots that nothing else can go in. Arrows top left, sticks below, wasted/weak tools below....water and lave in top right top row. I can manage chaos in the rest; but nothing in those spots.
Is remembering/counting neutral mob kills odd? I have a farm at each base, but If I'm exploring and run out of food to where I have to kill to eat...I promise to make x2 more for each one. I've got F2 screenshots of places I need to go breed chickens or sheep
I mine almost everything no matter what when im caving, including coal (In my survival world I have atleast 3 double chests full of coal, a double chest of redstone, and atleast 4000 iron ingots, completely legit) XD Fortune 3 FTW

I don't think that's odd. I feel I'm greedy when I overlook coal sticking out anywhere!
IMO; it's the /give 'er OP's that overlook coal, iron, or even cobble and basic foods. From day one coal and farming is important. Sounds like a single player game, but if you go into SMP and don't see a farm at all and they're decked out in diamonds in survival...they're /give'ers. Ya gotta eat in survival!
Wish we could stack coal in 9's too. Sure would cut back on these chests.

*Heroswine. That is just my skin, because I originally wanted to be a pigman, but I put some originality into it. It's also wearing Steve's clothes.
