btw when I said ores I meant biome_1.but thanks I hope this works 's to you kind sir!what preset would I select? classic flat?very helpful I will try it sometime this week or try and figure out how to modify it
me hungry for excitement!
biome_1 tells the game to make biome-specific features like temples and witch huts and only has any effect in desert, jungle, and swamp biomes; villages may also be considered to be biome specific but have their own code; there is no way to make only ores generate unless you add them as layers (it would be a good idea to make ores a separate option though).

Umm could you help me out too please? I'm new here and not very good at this sort of thing but what would I type in for a superflat about 50 blocks high, with 1 layer of grass, 3 layers of dirt, 46 layers of stone, bedrock on the bottom, allowed dugeons and ore to spawn, and allows cave systems to spawn? Also I'm using version 1.6.4
Edit: NVM I played around a little bit and I figured mostly everything out.
10/10! Thanks, I was too lazy to figure out what does what myself, so this helped a LOT.
Btw people, why are you posting "How do I do this or that?" when it clearly describes how to do that, and gives you a link to item ids and lists the biome ids. If this would help at all, go here... Minecraft ID List

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
