I don't know if there is a topic about this but...
Why would they put an internal server for singleplayer?
The game has more lag to me, for example: When I hit a zombie they stop moving for like 5 seconds.
It was also done to help develop new things; It's easier to add in stuff when your server and client are one. Also, there is not that noticeable drop of lag if you set up everything correctly (IE, you shut down stuff that does not need to be running, lower graphics in MC, etc). I don't notice any sort of drop of FPS, and I dont have a gaming PC.

Because then you don't need to write the coding for two different things, Only one thing. And that is a hell of a lot faster.
Yeah i guess your right.Call me crazy but I liked the sound when you would load a dimension. Is there a mod for this?O and your signature link is broken.
The internal server means they don't need to put hours into fixes for what is really two platforms. One update will fix both multi and single just the same. It should have been called Unified, but they chose internal server.
The internal server term shouldn't give you a performance hit at all. It really should act (react) just the same as single player did before as you're really not physically issuing a server when you jump in the game. I've ran servers on the old base and you won't see lag or anything out of the ordinary as Localhost (besides known "actual" MC server issues which were due to not getting the same fixes), so you may have coincidental issues and not the internal server to aim atl. My point being: It's not really a "server" in the sense that we've known in the past and is confusing people. It opens up good things on both ends and has zero drawback.
It IS a Java based game and that's getting a blackeye in the geek world lately. Have you tried to uninstall all Java on your PC and gave Java 7u7 JRE install a shot? Always safe to install both x86 and 64 locals since you're at it. Java 5/6 has leaks, their fixes have leaks, and with MC being a huge game it's also a huge target for script kiddies rage quiting or practicing their new found hobby of attacking us. The latest 7 has been flawless for me...
BTW, his sig link works for me. Are you sure you're just having MC issues?
