I'm not especially hating the terrain generator, but due to the nature of problems with terrain generation changes, I would really like to see it fixed completely before rolling out a new one.
Things that have to be fixed in my opinion :
1. Swamp biome : same transition method as with other biomes should be used. ( Snapshot 12w01 is just cosmetics I read)
2. Intersection of ravines / strongholds / mineshafts : Too much floating stuff and destruction here. Adding a wood or stone-T under mineshafts going through midair would produce a nice Indiana-Jones style for exmple ^^
3. Beaches : I know, it's not "important" but worlds definitely look nicer with them.
4. Oceans : Anything that touches terrain generation ( like if they plan to add plants) should have top priority.
Nothing else produces a need to start a new world like major changes in terrain gen, so I think it would greatly help a great part of the community if terrain gen was made top priority by Jeb.
Please state your opinion.
P.S: don't take my suggestions too seriously, most of them are just examples. I want to discuss if you would like Jeb to focus on terrain gen first.
@DemonCrusher36 : I'm not sure of that myself, but as far as I understood it, you can mod every biome transition easily. Only the swamp-transition uses a different technique ( I think it's a blur), which isn't mod-able. First, it would help keeping the code clear to use same method for all biomes, second it would make it easier to make it fit your own liking.

I agree with the features you're looking for, but not with the demand for a delay. Please don't come crying when you don't get any updates and want to know why Jeb is being so lazy.

I clearly stated these are examples and not the topic I wanted to discuss here.
And if you don't get I wouldn't mind a delay before the most important core feature of this game is in a final state, for gods sake stop posting.
