Back in my days we didn't have these fancy shmancy "Minecraft" and "computers"! We only had LEGOS, and how did we use them? Put them in front of someone's door and let them step on them *chuckle* good times.
When I first started playing Minecraft (1.2) I had lived in the side of a cliff and one day while I was exploring I saw a jumping green pumpkin with a face (Creeper). I thought it was cute so I went to go get a closer look. I never found that house again.
i made a world, and didn't even know how to hold the mouse down... i thought you just spammed the mouse, anyways, i made a house and then died... so i deleted it... beta 1.3

I had no idea about minecraft when I started. On the first night, I tried to kill a creeper with my fist and also tried to destroy stone with my fist. Those were the days...
I just played it and was good. My Minecraft nerd friend said I was a natural lol.
I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything. I started on classic, making art, and then got the game and started building as an architect. And that's where I am today.
This is in the Creative topic, but my first experience was in Survival mode. I had a couple friends always talking about it. I just remember being so terrified about it getting dark that I was intent on building a dirt hut. I didn't have any torches, but luckily nothing spawned in the hut. I had heard enough from friends to already know how to chop trees and make a crafting table and pick.

I actually knew that I had to hold down the mouse to keep punching then I thought one day "hey what if I repeatily pressed the mouse" so it didn't break!

I started playing in survival because I never knew there was a thing called creative mode.

I knew someone who played minecraft already, so I knew about the punching tree's and to hold down the button. My first shelter was a hole in the ground with a small viewing window so I would know when it's day. I spent about 15 minutes standing on a bench in that hole trying to figure out how to make all my tools. When I did dig myself out I accidently flooded it and nearly drowned. It was the best first 1/2 an hour of a game I ever played.
(My spell check keeps trying to turn accidently into occident.... WTF :sleep.gif:)
On my first night, I walked into trees, dug dirt, and had a 1 x 1 tower of dirt for a house.
I kept getting shot by skeletons without bows and falling to my death.
(aka, I played in alpha, I feel like a god damn hipster.)
I knew to hold down the mouse, had no idea how to place stuff, jumped in a lake to get sand from the bottom, completely ignored my air meter and drowned.
I remember my cousin showing it to me when it was still in indev and I was terribly confused by it. He had to walk me through what to do for the first hour or so of me playing (I created this crappy little shelter by just digging a hole in the ground and a creeper came and blew me up on my first night, and he figured I needed some help haha). I remember having to have him tell me like 8 times how to open up my inventory.
I also tried to break blocks by repeatedly clicking. But this was after I watched that "How to Survive Your First Night in Minecraft" vid... >.>
After that I took a little break and realized one of my favorite let's players was doing a Minecraft series...so the next time I played I was MUCH more informed. xD
i sucked omg i clicked everyblock once and didint know that i didint get it and i drowned like % time trying to find.......sharks LOL and master generator in later versions i dug through a hole and got stuck cuz i diding know how to place blocks so i rlly sucked and plus when i made a tool like a or a i sorta threw it on the ground lol i rlly sucked it you think so to then dont click on >> give me a vote THX!!
