The problem is there really is no variability with the new biomes, they all seem so similar and lack any unique characteristics that previous biomes had.

By beaches, he means the big ones that you used to spawn near before 1.8, not those circular splotches that come out of the water, and by the lack of trees I think he means when you get stuck in a plains, mountain, or desert biome.
I wouldn't call huge mountains "boring" I just think that they should bring back all of the old biomes and let everything blend together like it used to, then it would be better. However I personally feel with the old biomes, that's really all mojang could've done back then. However they now a larger group of people and can make more interesting biomes like the Mushroom biome.
I voted boring because the seas in my worlds are huge in the 2K block range between land and cover most of the land near spawn.
Beaches are tiny, mountains are rare but when you find one the topography is wicked.
While boring, some new features have added interest. Look for underwater fissures and dive in, Watch for lava if you slip out of the water.
Trees can be sparse but I find enough to get the job done.
It's a mixed bag. The mountainous terrain is fun, and finally having rivers is nice, but a lot of the interesting variability of the terrain got lost in the transition. Canyons are random scars in the land, and we rarely get big, oceanic cliffs or beaches anymore. And for those who truly want to immerse themselves in the game, the continents are too small and surrounded by featureless oceans.

I'm not going to comment on how you butcher the rules of English, but your argument is terrible. A desert right next to water does not count as a beach, and any person who has a kindergarten education would know that beaches are by water. I do acknowledge that there are forest biomes, and I have nothing against it, but trees are very scarce in biomes that aren't even supposed to be close to the description of a plain biome. Your argument against me with snow biomes is not even relevant. I do realize that snow biomes are existent, but usually you can only find one once every couple of thousand of meters. Who's to say snow biomes should be rarer than deserts or mountain biomes in every world?
I'm rather okay with it. I've got a pretty good seed, which includes a hill of stone. I;ve been playing for a while, and that is the first time i have ever seen one.
I agreed that the ocean is oversized, it really boring, and i would like to see the amazing scenary, not the water, water, water and water, hope update for 1.0 can fix it to make the good balance of ocean and land

Notch removed mountains in the normal biomes. He tried to balance this by adding a mountain biome. Personally, I think mountain biomes should be removed, and there should be more mountains in the other biomes (except grassland).

Actually I think one of the main reasons a dedicated Mountain/Extreme Hills biome was added to replace having mountains in any biome was to avoid complications that would arise when attempting to generate a village on a mountain in a desert or plains biome.
It was also noted that one of the reasons why the new terrain generation was added was to alleviate some of the complications associated with the older one.
Moving mountains to a single biome was simply the worst idea in all of gaming history. And even those look bland.
I want the extremely random worlds that made Minecraft be awesome! And less oceans. I have barely enough space to build. Plus it's even less space for good formations.

The mountain's weren't as epic as they used to be, it used to be like one point touching the ground and then the rest floating and it looked impossible without it collapsing. Now everything is all realistic, food bar and ****.

I especially hate the new Mountain Generation...they look BAD. The older version had beautiful generation to be honest...that's what i think.
He changed alot. The game is about exploring, but the terrain is boring! resources are so abundant you never have to mine. Thats why I play 1.7.3 with a lighting mod! :happy.gif:
