yes but i feeling alone the only people that play in beta if the problem is biome size (beta have small biomes) the notch can expand the biomes imagine the glacier seed floating island 2 times bigger nice then they can expand the biomes right
and too thx 4 rep point
1.7 is really improving the terrain and I have to say that the height variation problem is solved. I saw flat forests, hilly ones or I came across something like that.Spoiler: (same with other biomes)Even though one of our complaints is out of the way now there are still plenty left, like the sloppy beaches or the grass color transitionsSpoiler: I really hope Jeb is going to fix this.
I love the mountain's and waterfalls. Makes me want to build another waterslide.
That looks absolutely gorgeous, thank you for sharing.
Although this won't fix the current terrain, I'd really like it if Mojang began adding even more biomes to 1.7. Maybe even as much as possible. Red sand dunes, marshes, shrublands, oases, and glaciers for example. It wont fix anything in the terrain, but I think it would be great to see as much variety as possible through biomes as well as in the landscape. (Which is already being fixed, as the TheLittleExplorer's screenshots proved.)
hello guys I often forget to build something or fear to damage the new terrain know the reasons that i have afraid of damage because dont have space for put tnt i hate new worlds and i prefer tnt for destroy it

Does anyone agree or disagree?
More =/= better. Quality>Quantity, so I disagree. I prefer they perfect the biomes they already have before they go adding new ones...

I agree that it's necessary to perfect the already existing biomes. But I don't think that should stop them from adding more, as long as it does not prevent them from perfecting the existing biomes. I'd rather see many perfect biomes than a few perfect biomes.

With Mojang it would probably be one or the other; take your pick.
THIS IS NEW TERRAIN AND IT WILL NO LONGER BE BORING WE CAN NOW NO LONGER PREDICT BECAUSE THIS BECAME EPICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

Holy SuperMegaAwesomeSharkosaurusRex, 47 letters in the word "epic"? This is powerful stuff, congratulations. The RP'ing really helped back up your stance on this issue too. I can see why everything that has been discussed in the past few pages has now been completely negated. We ought to just stop posting here and subjugate ourselves to each and every one of your heavily intellectual opinions. Why don't we all just do away with our grey matter too, while we're at it? It'll certainly help us see everything from this awe-inspiring point of view.
Every biome generates differently now. That includes the old biomes.
It's not perfect, but major changes have already started happening.
Yes, but there's so much more that could be done, but once again, Mojang doesn't seem so willing to do it. They've made the terrain better, no question about that.

I agree.
I'd like to see more biomes as long as they have variety in them, and are always interesting to explore.
The only ones I wouldn't really like to see are marshes because they would always be flat and boring.
i can agree that it has become boring with the same seed over and over, but at least we can enjoy the new gameplay in 1.7 wich will soon come out. the terrain there is so random, and it is extremely fun to explore
Could you possibly describe this mystical "new gameplay" that nobody has heard of until you mentioned it?(Note: New features =/= new gameplay. Gameplay features are things like the EXP bar or maybe a change in inventory layout.)

More biomes are always welcome IMO, but if they're not "perfect" doesn't it defeat the purpose of this thread, which is to encourage "perfect" biomes? Unless they are "perfect," in which case, full agreement.
i want rainforest biome back and too seasonal forest i love this biomes this mesa biome is very boring and too in mega taiga sometimes i see places without grass just with dirt this is very ugly
Ah okay. Tree variety is something that is being worked on, it seems. Proper transitions are definitely being worked on in the snapshots, as well. Dinnerbone has said that 1.7 is nowhere near finished, so we can expect to see more issues addressed.
Does anyone have any examples of anyone on the Mojang team saying that they are working on tree variety and biome transitions? I would love to see these features being worked on but I have yet to see a mention of them for myself.

Go try the 1.7 snapshots. Remember, this is only the fourth one, I doubt we'll see 1.7 any time soon, there's plenty of room for work.
Or heck, go see the recent updates section where people are complaining about the logical biome transitions. (They, the complainers, want to fit all the biomes in a tiny area, instead of having to go find them, it's stupid.)

I've tried the snapshots and everything, I just meant I would like to see Mojang themselves mention that they intend to do something about the transitions/variety. Also, I don't really care about the logical transitions, I'm more interested in seeing the biomes blend better.

What do you mean, 'blend better'? The transitions are improving upon the blending of biomes. This is only the fourth snapshot (not counting b/c's), of course it's not perfect yet.
And why do you want to see Mojang mention it (which is not akin to a promise), when there is a clear indication of it within the snapshots of the game? Surely that is enough evidence?
Notch doesn't work on Minecraft anymore.

All that has really happened so far is mainly biomes, That is not the point of this.
Hey everyone, I'm back!
