At Minecon, Yogscast were a bunch of, well, I'd get banned if I'd say.
They made a quote that Notch and Mojang are "a bunch of nerds who don't know how to run a company"
Really, Mojang is the Multi-Million dollar company, with a smashing success due to their own marketing strategies.
While, Yogscast is constructed of a bunch of stuck up nerds, who believe that since they paid for a plane ticket to Vegas, lost all their money in a Casino, and attended Minecon, they're "Hot shots". When, really, all they do is make videos.
I have to somewhat agree, because in my opinion they didn't really make it famous or anything... they just made it slightly more 'entertaining' while Seananners attracted most attention to the actual game itself...
Did you actually go to minecon and witness this activity... Unless you did then you probably shouldnt say anything cause all the sources notch got where secondhand we will not know what happened until the yogscast reply.
If it wasn't for the YogsCast Notch wouldn't have that much publicity.. they are responsible for a DUMP-TON of people who play Minecraft today.
Not true. For the most part, X and Seananners started the minecraft phase. While they did still attract a good amount of people, minecraft would be just the same without them.
I am not taking a side. Yes I love notch, but I also have respect for the yogscast. I would like to hear both sides of the story before I start "picking a side". I don't know.

I love x. I didn't realize he was one of the first minecrafters on the youtubes, he was the first LPer that I watched.

Not really.... i had no idea who they were until months after I got my minecraft account. The way it spread around at my school was from other people, not YouTube celebrities.
Minecraft was an extremely successful game before they became popular, and even if they were the reason, they do not deserve special treatment over anyone else.
Sir you just dropped the soap in a jail :tongue.gif: I am unbiased but others might take advantage while you are bent over because thats how the world works D:

Well I've seen plenty of reddit posters giving their experience with the Yogs people... and yeah, what Notch said was pretty much correct.
Actually the Yogscast have inspired tonnes of people to play minecraft, and this dispute is no reason to hate on either side. And honestly Notch made a bad move by tweeting it... you just dont do that.

There are millions of viral minecraft videos.
Nothing special.
I agree with ya.
I used to enjoy their videos, but I can't watch them anymore after what they've done.
So what?
I've crapped many times in my life.

I disagree, Minecraft had already made several million dollars before the yogscast had anything to do with it.

I agree with that.
But, Yogscast has been ignorant to ONE Fact.
NOTCH CODED LEFT 4 DEAD.
