I remember way back in Beta 1.3 I was having lots of fun with flint&steel on normal mode.
I set fire to this one creeper, and after it took about two hearts of damage from fire, it turned around and jumped into the ocean and then came back to chase me.
And after seeing a similar thing happen today with a another creeper, I'm starting to wonder if it's just a bug in pathfinding or an actual feature in mob AI.

There's something in wolves' coding that made them douse themselves if they get set on fire... perhaps it affected creepers as well?
I have no idea.
There was nothing on the wiki about this, no videos I could find. And it's kind of hard to believe that it IS a feature considering that the same creepers will jump down a huge crevice while chasing you.

I mean, seriously. Maybe it wanted to skydive and kill some creepers down below.
Also, creepers should explode rather than just die if their death was by fire or fall damage
