Most of the videos were made back when there weren't many good plugins for griefing. I guess it would be fun for a bunch of guys with nothing to do, but it's extremely easily reversible. Just today I had my whole house destroyed on a vanilla server, with scraps of wood left behind. A moderator came and somehow regenerated all of the chunk it was in without rolling back all of the server. Guess they weren't so vanilla after all, but if this kind of small server has it, I suppose every good server has it.
If griefing is a major problem for you, you are a bad server owner.

So it seems u haven't been listening to the Real time birthday party of storm surge. Entire servers were crushed because of too many people logging on.
Proper servers have player limits and refuse connections when a given number of people join. Reinforcing my original point that only misconfigured servers are vulnerable. Of course, when it comes to minecraft, a lot of "server admins" are 13 year olds with little understanding of how to properly configure a Minecraft server, there are plenty out there to be screwed with. Team AVO is like a group of script kiddies using Metasploit to gain access to outdated Apache servers. Hardly impressive because a system running an old version of Apache is unlikely to be worth it.
They are idiotic, sloppy, goodfornothing dipshits. I hope those stupid losers see this post.

Judging by most responses in this thread, I'd say that they are very successful trolls. If people would learn to not call them "jealous dipshits" or "****ups" and just ignore them they'd probably be gone by now. If they saw this thread it would make them jump for joy. I saw some of their videos, I'd say 3, and I wasn't very amused. I just sit there and look like I'm watching a TV on a unknown channel. It wasn't that amusing, but I have to say, I'm never really amused by griefing. I find griefing is always the same. Their griefing is always the same. It's always "DUH HERP LET'S PUT LAVA ALL OVER THIS BUILDING" every time. It's boring and I don't think griefing is really funny. What if you got griefed and they shut your server down? Just put yourself in the victim(s)'s shoes for a minute. I do not support AVO.
It seems that more than 80% of the haters here haven`t even watched a video of them. You don`t know WHY they are doing it, haters!
The servers the AVO griefed deserved to be griefed. I like them and i support their griefs for 99% (the 1% is, they were like ''humping'' some dudes, that was a bit too dumb). And the ''rollback , ban list , I win''-thing doesn`t work there for s*it, people.. they have so many alts, you don`t even know, how many

I just see that as people who are doing what they enjoy doing. Sure, it's not good to have fun on the expense of others, but I'm not their mother to worry about what they do.
