I have the anjocaido free launcher and use it to play minecraft. I found the official minecraft site however, and realized that you must pay to get the game. I have not been able to find if it is legal or not elswere, so I figured I would post it here. I am going to purchase a paid license, so I would like to know before I spend my money. Thanks for any help!
It is legal i know becuse i checked with jeb notch and all of mojang
Wow, I'm sure this is legit since Jeb and Notch definitely don't want to earn money to live and feed themselves.
In any case, on the official Minecraft launcher, there are the words "Do not distribute". This means that you cannot give the files of Minecraft to anyone that does not genuinely own the game, which you, and thousands of people that are also using the launcher, do not. The launcher is giving you access to the files, and thus, is illegal.
Anyway, the AnjoCaido Free Launcher as you call it is technically illegal, and since you said you can afford to buy the game, Notch would probably rather you buy the game.

ragnarock200: awesome, are those things with the creeper faces pistons or furnaces
Snowey1994: There dispensers
Anyway, Notch being cool with it and it being legal are two TOTALLY different things.
Notch I believe has said he doesn't care if people pirate Minecraft if they can't afford it. Now, that doesn't mean pirating games is legal, it just means Notch doesn't care, assuming you can't afford it.
GUESS WHAT! I even have a source: http://www.geek.com/...rd-it-20120112/

But there was the "Don't forget to feel bad!" at the end which implied it might have been sarcasm AND that was a long time ago. If you were okay with pirates a really long time ago it doesn't mean you are now.
FieryGamer. Would you please provide a link or something for your discussions. I don't think that launcher is legal.

This is completely legal, and I believe FieryGamer that he checked with all of Mojang!

Hi zoomshorts. I must have missed this. Could you give a link where Notch says the launcher is legal.
Thanks,

Free software is generally illegal.
