I've got a new question for you: Why are you complaining at this forum deflecting harsh comments when you could be complaining at Notch?
Just saying.
Ironic, seeing as it so clearly resembles rule #2 for Minecraft forum bronies..
2. Do not feed the trolls. ... Since all they really do is shout "Pedo", "Manchild" and "Gay", they're pretty bland. Heck, I've only seen trolls attack the fans of the show, not criticize the show itself, so they're doing it wrong anyways-they aren't worth your time.
The Alpha survival thread was the best but know we have the beta survival thread filled to the brim with asshats and fools.
You make not even a bit of sense.
Sense you say that because you didn't find out about minecraft before beta was realized so you should get all the dlc for free because you didn't hear about it sooner?
That makes as much sense as saying
I went to gamestop and wanted to but portal 2.
You buy portal 2.
Find out people who got a different skin for buying it on realize day.
and by your logic gamestop should give you what they got because you dint know sooner.
It's all timing, I suppose. I just heard of it at the right time. I have never been all hoity touty about buying it alpha. You either got good timing or bad timing, that's all.

Even Science cant do it
So your idea of giving up is to say you give up and follow that up with a barely coherent rant? Can you even buy Portal 2 in regular stores? I thought it was only on Steam.
I'm still waiting for a reply to what I said, or was it too sensible to make a comeback for?
So do us Beta buyers get the released game for free or will we have to pay for THAT too? That is the only thing that would bother me about it.
And even though I don't care about this argument one way or the other, I think the common Beta player's mind set is "I bought the same game that the Alpha's did for even more money, before it was released just like them, what truly sets us apart besides a simple label?"
Jeesh the entitlement of some people. Should people who invested in Google after it became a multi-billion dollar company have their stocks upgraded? Yes, we lucked out. Sucks to be you. Deal with it. Cry some moar. And any other clichés I forgot.

I'm probably not saying anything that hasn't already been said. But, I fail to see the logic behind the argument that the privileges alpha players have are unfair. Have you ever heard the phrase "the early bird gets the worm?" In countless other areas of life, those who discover something, or arrive somewhere first are rewarded. Alpha players also had deal with many horrendous bugs. The game beta players inherited, while still buggy, is much more polished than the earlier versions of alpha were. Remember the bug that corrupted the vast majority of save files, rendering them useless? Alpha players do.
Though Notch certainly wasn't obligated to give the alpha players special perks, he also would have had a much harder time forming Mojang, and continuing to develop the game without the millions of euros he got from alpha testers.
In short, Notch didn't have to give us anything, so be happy with the game you have! And certainly don't complain that you aren't getting certain perks because you arrived late to the party.

Yes, you can. The console versions (Xbox/PS3) as well as the PC version, which gets uploaded to your Steam library upon installation I believe.
OT: While I'm not going to say that Alpha buyers like myself should get the free DLC for simply being here earlier, we also bought a version of the game that was far buggier and had quite a bit less content. That, I think, is more than enough to constitue restitution in the form of something of which it's existence is still uncertain to most, at least in the form of $5 less we had to pay (which is rather insignificant, for the record, considering what we signed up for...).

I think he makes a valid point. If you buy a game/pre-order a game, you sometimes get extra content that people who bought the game later don't get. Theres no difference here.
Anyways, all the mods are going to kill any dlc, so theres nothing to worry about.
Not necessarily true, Elder Scrolls games had a good mod API and they still sold alot of DLC stuff(well, oblivion anyway.)
That said I'm not entirely expecting us to ever get DLC anyway, Mojang seems more interested in their card battle game then putting any more then the bare minimum work into Minecraft.
I think that we should have the options to buy the extra packs for.. idk a little more than what alpha cost - beta. so like an xtra 10 pounds. I think that's fair. the alphas get what they want. the trolls have less of an argument and the betas who didn't hear about the game but would of bought it having known this perfect world existed would buy it.
and notch gets more money for future deveopment. its a quad win. I think approves
I would've if I'd known about it. I didn't. How's that fair?
Answer: It isn't, and the only reason Alpha buyers are able to be so smug about it is because they're getting something other's aren't. They're quite literally Minecraft's nobility, enjoying elevated status and privileges they did nothing to earn, and they're certainly acting like nobility. If the roles were reversed, they wouldn't be whining any less. If they had their status stripped now, they'd whine way more than we betas ever have.
Notch was suprised that people where buying it in alfa so he gave us a treat. We didn't realy think of it as a smug thing its just that the cummunity was much smaller.

Creepers want hugs, zombies want hugs, so many hugs you may just die.
I bought the game in alpha, even though I didn't like Alpha Survival I was mainly playing classic, so I planned ahead for when I was ready to play Alpha/Beta Survival.
Enough said.
I mean seriously a bunch of Alpha buyers come I. And start screaming that they need special treatment and BING it's there. Cmon us Beta buyers did stuff right?
It would all be ok if the DLC is stuff like the Aeather and only coast $5.
:sleep.gif: Why are you complaining now when it quite clearly says it when you buy the game.
People who bought a game in it's alpha stage pretty much gave birth to the beta which is what OP is whining about right now. They supported the game from the beginning and with all that support Minecraft was able to achieve what it is today. We aren't getting anything less, Alpha buyers are just getting a bonus.
The following is true, the former is false.
i wish only for a creeper buddy that can help me build.

I'm just glad you're continuing to post here. It's feeding my insomnia. :>

If you're late to a sale you're late to a sale.
