Im looking for a safe and fast way to gather glowstone, im having trouble building platforms under the massive hanging glowstones since there ussually is around a 400 foot drop into lava or some sort.
Try mining them from above. It takes more work but its a lot safer, especially if you're not playing on peaceful. Just build a tower to the roof of the nether and then tunnel through it towards glowstone. It takes a lot longer but at least your able to reach glowstone that's over lava.
Just search the smaller caves and tunnels, they'll often have them so low to the ground they're touching. That's where I get most of my glowstone when I don't feel like making towers and getting attacked by ghasts.

Still no infinite strongholds D:
Now i have a strong feeling i know the answer to this butttt, Are there any ore or minerals or anything in the netherealm besides netherack, glowstone, that soul sand ? If not is it just a transportation device.

In terms of blocks, netherrack, soul sand, and glowstone are the only Nether-exclusive materials available. Zombie Pigmen will drop cooked pork on death, but then killing one of them often turns a whole army of them against you. Ghasts drop gunpowder, but it often falls into either lava or an unreachable place. Other materials the Nether offers are lava, gravel, and mushrooms. I have found the vast majority of my mushrooms in the Nether, usually in large groups of anywhere around 10 to 20. Gravel usually just shows up in spontaneous locations. Lava, of course, is far more abundant here than anywhere on the regular world.
