I think what was meant, is this seems over complicated for minecraft. Simplicity is what fuels the game, even redstone can be used in a simple way, but the way this creature behaves, and going as far as almost requiring a weapon to fight it, is overly complicated for a minecraft enemy.
oh, okay. it doesn't have to be that complicated. i was thinking it might be too complicated, but thought it was a cool idea.
How about some dragons guys? Who doesn't want dragons? You should be able to tame them...that would be pretty sick, and the NPC village that Notch had brought up before. One of those two ideas Notch mentioned would be cool to have on the next update. What do you think? :smile.gif:
dragons would be the best addition to minecraft. taming them would be even better
many people might dislike this but personally i would like to see npc villages
in these villages u can be given quests and have open dialect meaning you can say what you want and they will understand their is a game coming out that has open dialect so i know it is possible maybe the quests could be like find diamonds, save the village from zombies or something like that and maybe you can choose to burn it down and the people will become hostile but if not i would like all the stuff in my sig
im prepared to wait for all of this i dnt really care if it doesnt happen but it would still be cool if it did
i reckon wool should be able to be turned into string for one thing and then maybe some helper mobs that can be toggled on and off when ever you want or maybe they should be created out of the things they collect for you....... also maybe just some bugs ect OH and some of the downloadable mods should be in the next update to save us from downloading them like infinite blocks mode or something........
happy crafting XD
What about a machine that could spin wool into string, like a spinning wheel or something?

Would work like a furnace, expect no fuel spot, and you have to keep it open for it to work. Maybe you could spin other things, too.
=colored yarn? I dunno, I'm just spitting out ideas.

No Offence Intended But If You Were To Add Something Like This The The Game Would Start To Revolve Around This And It Would Turn Into A Questing RPG Which People Are Slowly Getting Tired Of, Also Multi-player Would Not Be An Option Due To The Fact That Barely Anyone Would Have A Computer Powerful Enough To Run One.
Please Reply If You Agree/Disagree.
Thanks
1. there are WAAAAAY too little RPGs for people to get tired of them
2. EVERYBODY likes RPGs they are the best game type, although turning minecraft into one may not be the best idea
3. a villiage with no more than 20 NPCs once every 25-100 chunks wouldnt be too resource draining, there should also be an option to turn off villiages
4. this would only turn into a questing RPG if quests were the only viable things to do(read: the rewards were too good or the game is too hard/boring without it) or if your forced to do them in the game mount & blade quests are there but you dont really have to do them the game barely pays attention to them
5. Why The **** Are You Typing Like This Isnt It Annoying And Hard?

Way too little RPGs for people to get tired of? I think Finally Fantasy is on its 13th game...
A lot of people don't like RPGs. They usually play leveled games e.g. Mortal Kombat.
Once every 25-100 chunks? That is a lot of villages...
I agree with that, but NPC villages would basically have no purpose, right? People will demand for quest of some sort and then that is the beginning of "Minecraft: The LSD RPG."
1. A Napalm Creeper? It would look like a normal creeper but have fiery patterns on it, and when it explodes, anything in a 10 block radius catches on fire.
2. Holdable torces.
3. An aggressive octopus water mob.
4. Obsidian sword?

Stronger than diamond sword and has strong durability.
Iam thinking of adding some more mobs
A new crafting recipe to change wool into 9 strings
You may disagree with this but to add Herobrine in it ^^
And...to make all agressive mobs (except ghasts and slimes)to be tameble so that they can fight for you
Carpeting - Similar to the wood and stone halfplates, but for different colors of wool blocks.
Vertical transmission blocks for redstone wiring.
Grass Seeds for cultivating lawns in far-away places
Fence Gates - to keep everyone off my lawn! 2x1 size to prevent cramping, requires a fencepost on either side to be placed. A 1x1 fence door would just look cramped.
Steel Alloy - tools/armor made of steel perform as iron but have significantly improved durability, not as good as Diamond. Smeltable form of iron, perhaps?
Diamond-Edged tools - iron/steel tools made with Diamond Powder, same durability as Steel tools, but improved performace. Not as good as pure Diamond tools, but lets you stretch your diamond supply.
Steel Plating - placeable on blocks to resist explosions (collision profile similar to snow/ladders) Useful for traps and creeper damage control
"I can't believe they fell for that" decoy! What happens when you put together leather armor, monster bait, sticks, and TNT? A mirror image of you that just stands there until something, or someone, hits it
Monster Bait - That's right, you pesky creeper. Just a little closer to that TNT trap...HA!
Trap blocks - Unlike dispensers which only 'fire' laterally, these are omnidirectional spike traps triggered by power currents. They only really work if you're adjacent to one, unlike the range of arrow dispensers. Disguisable as wood or cobblestone blocks. Likely requires either Cactus or Iron and the base block of cobblestone or wood.
Kibble Blocks - Like cake! for tamed Wolves!
Alchemy Bench! Make potions like Jumping potions made of Slime Goo, or Zombie Repellant made of Cactus!
I would love to see some type of human npc that can build their own structures, and eventually form their own towns and civilizations. Although, to prevent them from expanding into your own building area, they wouldn't be allowed to build within 100 blocks of where you are building. I mean wouldn't it be cool just to be exploring one day and see another human building a structure in single player? Maybe Notch could somehow record his in game player building different structures, then play them back through a npc(s) in a random order. You should also be able to for alliances with npcs.
Anyone else agree with me?
Ramp/roof blocks, allocators, pistons, making booster tracks just a little more powerful, and fixing all those darn bugs - like the ugly lighting on the stairs. (And smooth lighting doesn't do it for me, since then I can't see in short side tunnels and it makes already dark areas even darker.)
Oh and a useful graphics option called a gamma slider. (The OpenGL culling thing is sort of useful, but menu text size? Seriously?)
Maps... not mini maps like the mods but like put paper and coal or charcoal together and the areas you vist are roughly recorded onto the paper = map
The map can show the area you are in (not pinpoint accurate)
This will help if you decide to explore a bit and cant see your home
another is a second map that records your mining so you know where you been and where you saw that nice lump of iron
Maybe let us make notes on map or mark it so we remember there r alot sheep or pig etc in that area
etc
good idea no?
I actually read on Twitter that he is considering implementing maps. :0
oh, okay. it doesn't have to be that complicated. i was thinking it might be too complicated, but thought it was a cool idea.
