I just bought Minecrack and I love it! I'm normally not much for sandbox games, but something about the way Minecrack makes you work for the materials just makes it super addicting. (hence the intentional typo of the name throughout this post)
Anyways, I have trouble finding iron. I can get redstone like nobody's business, but I'm hopeless when it comes to iron. I burn through more iron pickaxes trying to find iron than I can replace with my earnings. What am I doing wrong?
Iron is at the same depth level as redstone; if you're down that far, just keep digging around. And use Stone pickaxes rather than Iron while you're hunting, to save your iron for when you really need it.

iron is at the water level (64) so you will have to step off from your mountain and try to find a cave, also save your pickaxes, i learned that when i started the hard way (sadly) oh well, good luck mining, maybe you just had bad luck and there is not much iron in your map D:.
