Yeah, it's redonkadonk.. It just proves though that innovation and keeping it simple is the way to go. The big companies can make generic shooters with shiny graphics all they want, but I bet that in the end Notch will make more money, everything considered (staff payment, royalties for getting the game on X360/PS3).
Okay, I admit I have no idea what I am talking about, but still, I am happy for him. This game has just started as well, I can't see it's rapidly increasing fanbase starting to deminish just yet.

There's nothing like a fistful of lightning, is there?
Sometimes you think it would motivate him alittle more though to hurry it to beta/full release...
What's the hurry?
Personally I like enjoying it a piece at a time, so to speak. When I first started I was severly confused, I had to look up on the internet how to get started with crafting a toolbox and what not, so if the game suddenly had like loads and loads of new features I would probably lost again.
Also, rushing things have never ever lead to anything good. That's just my opinion, though.

Let's go ahead and establish the fact that Notch doesn't have that much money.

Let's go ahead and establish the fact that you're wrong.
You're wrong. =P
As far as development yeah I like the way it is now. I'd rather have little new bits every so often and be able to play while it's developing AND have a developer that LISTENS than hear about a new game being developed and just sit there twiddling my thumbs until it gets released, only to find that this, this, that, and these isn't how a lot of us like it but no one cares because it's a big company.
Notch has sold 531,875 copies of Minecraft since he first put it up for sale. At 9.95 Euros a purchase that's 5,292,156.25 Euros.
I don't know how much Paypal took for 'tax' or whatever but holy ****.
Today alone in the last 24 hours he's sold almost 7000 copies. That's almost 70,000 Euros in one day.
