I'll be in Bellingham the day before, so maybe on my way back south I'll swing by. I'll need to know times though.. I have to be back at work by 3 in Federal Way.
aarggh T_T if only i was two years older i would so totally drive out there... even though it would be a like a two and a half day drive =.= would so be worth it though lol, have fun meeting notch you lucky dogs XD
So if everyone were to show up, we're looking at more than 20 people. And the issue with Bellevue Square, (besides being a mall,) is it doesn't have a food court. 20 people standing around (even in the openish central intersection) is pretty much asking for mall security intervention.
If it happens in the middle of the afternoon, or late enough, I would think Red Robin wouldn't mind a big handful of tables occupied by people eating appetizers and fries. During dinner I'd hesitate with such a large group.
If we go for the park, we should have some kind of activity planned. (Anyone have a kickball? I can bring multiple kites. A barbecue/potluck could be fun, but that's another layer of complexity.) And then there's the issue of bad-weather backup plans.
When I mentioned a LAN party, I'm pretty sure my church is available that evening, but it's 30 or so minutes away in East Renton. (and how many people would even be interested in hauling a computer with them?) Maybe I should start a separate thread for lan party questions.
I'd think we should hear from Notch before the day is out, so be ready to work on finalizing some plans.
I live in Bellevue. I think the Crossroads Mall would be a much better location - less crazy traffic, easier location with a lot more stuff to choose from, and there are much better meeting locations. Bellevue Square is hectic and doesn't really lend itself to this sort of thing as well.

If only I could get to it. Driving across a country to see notch is not within my scope of possibility, unfortunately. Perhaps if the next MinecraftCon was in Chicago, I could actually make the trip.
Sweet, I'm definitely going to this. I support the Downtown Park meeting place, it seems like the best choice for a large group of people. (And this is quickly becoming a large group)
So it sounds like the Downtown Park is where it's at? I'll be there all day (unless I finally get a job). I'll be putting on light shows when it gets dark, meaning I'll TRY to get a stereo/amplifier out there.
I'll bring my laptop in case of a Lan party. Downtown park sounds nice, but if it rains we might want to have another plan. Also I might make a little Minecraftcon 2010 logo for fun.

those obnoxiously loud cows really get me going sometimes
I'll most likely vote for Crossroads, if only cause I can bike there much easier than Bellevue Square. But also cause its food court area is more suited to a large group like this. If we're gonna have this large a crowd, it might be beneficial to clear it with wherever we choose to go, as well, they might even be able to help us set something up.
I do work in Redmond the 31st but am off at 2:30.
I vote in or around Bellevue Square area.
me too >.<
Only, if I went, I have no clue what I'd do and I don't particularly have anything to tell him other then "great job, keep it up," so just as well.
