Aftermath
Well looks like MinecraftCon 2010 went well so I thank everyone for coming and making the event happen. I will probably not be doing anymore updates to this in less something comes up but feel free to keep posting pictures/videos here so everyone can see them!
The user Bearodactly has come up with these neat nametags so if you want to use one feel free to print this out and laminate it if you want. These nametags are in no way required but just a neat little thing so thanks Bearodactyl! You can view the full image here.
If people find the other nametag a bit small the user LividMiner has made a nametag in a larger size. By going here and clicking the one named minecraft-con 2010_full.jpg you can find a larger name tag.
Here is what this nametag looks like
Both nametags are great and I thank both Bearodactyl and LividMiner for making these as they both look amazing. And keep in mind nametags are not required so don't feel forced in to having to wear one.
As much as I'm sure it would be fun to meet Notch, to see what kind of person he actually is. I don't think I'd ever go as far as flying out to some other country JUST to meet someone who is sort of "celebrity" status - as far as the indie games world that is.
And I know the idea isn't solely to meet Notch, it's to meet everyone of the community but, lets be honest, the only person really worth meeting would be Notch as quite frankly. There aren't many people in the community that you could honestly say "I'd pay X amount of money for a plane ticket, accommodation and other expenses, to meet that person, I bet we'd have a jolly good time of it!"
Don't worry, I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Else, lol, sad.
I wish it was in america.... and on the other coast..... grrr well if notch reads this.... one of the things i would tell you about is check out my music blog (link removed) and hope you enjoy.

Well, I live in bellevue and I think the best places would either end up being crossroads mall or bellevue square. Bellevue square is pretty much right next to valve.
Pike place market doesn't really seem like a great location. It's always super crowded and isn't a real friendly location. I'm mainly looking at locations that are a walking distance from valve, since im almost certain notch will be staying in the hotel right next to valve.
Good point but Pike Place is a big thing when it comes to Seattle so I thought it might be a nice place to meet since everyone knows were it is at. I am still going to leave it on the list in till we decide on the final location.

Raise my dragons please!!

I added it to the list, and I agree Bellevue square is a bit big so we would have to pick a spot if we do pick Bellevue.
EDIT:
Also I like the Bakery idea since we can grab a bite to eat and such and that location is still very close to Valve and Bellevue.

(fixed link)
The link goes back to Panera Bread.
dang it, let me try to fix that.

how about that
This isn't a joke, notch is coming to bellevue for valve, he is just having a free day to meet people, thus why he created minecraftcon
Pretty much this I should add this info to the main topic.
I wish!
