I first visited Redshift's Ocean Build in late summer, just because it was at the top of the list. I remember spending hours just exploring, although I felt like a noob so I didn't build anything. The next day I built some stuff on a server called "THE BEST SERVER EVER," but it was obviously an unmoderated griefing paradise. A few days later I found TheOne's Lava Server (this was back when the name was "The One's Lava" and you could use hacks and !voterestore [map]) and remained sort of active there for the rest of the year.
I was op on CraftHub, because I knew Guard from another forum, so I spent a lot of time there, until the server disappeared; I was also op on Matt's free build until a certain op abused his power and started banning random people. I hosted my own build server (first Jacob_'s Mountain Building, then Jacob_'s Server [Cool Terrain] off and on throughout the fall. Most of the people I met there I haven't seen since, sadly.
I actually started playing Roblox again in November, but that didn't last long.
A week before Christmas I ran a Winter Server that was quite popular, but after the holidays I got lazy and never put it up again.
I spent a lot of February trying to hack up a custom server, although I never got more than the basics done (this turned into the CTF Alpha that was notorious for randomly disconnecting you when you had the flag.). At the same time I found Nox's CTF and loved it, although it went down a week or two after I found it (and I had a boring reading assignment that was taking up most of my time...)
Now, creative mode has gotten boring, and hosting CTF means I can't join other servers too much due to lag, although I still play TheOne's servers from time to time.
The first server I ever went on was Skydive (the ancient version, not the Working Skydive). After getting my pimpin' greenhouse torn apart I moved on to the old version of Underd0g's server. I played that for ever, along with some RP server, before I quit Minecraft for a while. When I came back I joined Victory and played on that server, became an OP. I then quit Minecraft again after a while, when I came back /indev/ was out and I stopped playing multiplayer.
I probably got that all wrong because all I really remember is the names.
Best server ever was Cryzed's. That was before he made the server script, and everything was great. Except one time I was banned because one of the admins was drunk. These things happen.
Well the first server that I have ever been on would be Ocean Flat-grass. There's a bunch of awesome people on there. Then after about 3 days I left that server because I heard about RP servers. First I went to Ming's redefined role-play and stayed there for a while. Then while still going to Ming's I also tried out some other free-builds like the D3 servers. I also went to some mini-game servers. I finally got over them and went back to role-playing. I tried out Frost's RP server but I didn't like it too much :\ When I tried out Aidan's d3 server I thought I was hooked. Then I realized that Andrew, the host, was a jerk. So I stuck with Ming's server and I am having a blast. There are some great role-plays going on in there. Right now Ming's redefined role-play server is my favorite.
