I can most likely find a way to record and would be able to edit it very easily. I could also join up on the show as long as it's from 10:00:00 p.m. - 03:30:00 a.m. GMT Monday to Friday if you are still looking for someone to join in.
EDIT: I just did a test call and now know that I can definitely record using skype. Editing will be really easy too. I used to do a bunch of music stuff so it will be no problem.

I could edit if wanted, but I think you can do the recording!
All I ask is that you show up, tell us you're there on IRC, and not talk at all. 4 people is the max, sorry! But you can be the audio manager.

I could also just link you to the software... My main offer there was to edit. It doesn't seem worth it to be there just to record when anyone else can just as easily. If you need another person to fill in for any other episodes though, you can get me by email.

I have no experience in making podcasts but here is what *I* would do for the format:
MUSIC
Introduce Host + Guests
Latest News (if applicable)
Interesting Suggestions/Discussions (2 or 3)
Special Feature [mention a good indie game/interview/borrow-able features/MC in the news]
Outro
MUSIC

Mine:
MUSIC
Introductions
Recent happenings with the game
Suggestion Adjudication/Actualization/Decapitation or something that rhymes (go into suggestion forums, read suggestion, comment on it)
Perhaps a segment for reviewing a creative level or creation?
The main event of the show!
VIEWER MAIL and general chat
Outro
Also, guess who just ordered a shiny pair of headphones.

Minecraft isn't about what you build, it's about building it.
I have with me a Blue microphone, which means that I will have top-notch sound quality!
Aside from that, I would suggest that we use RealG's podcast lay-out.
OK guys, lets get it together. We will need to following people to be on skype and the IRC at
4:30 on the 9th of June
DragonEnRegula
Visiiri
Iguana
Zachiethsmith (To record)
So at that time, Chezhead (I am NOT "Scott Evans") add me as a contact, then I will call each of you individually. we will do a little meet and greet for the time up until 4:30, when I will quick choreograph everyone saying "Hello" together, which could be an issue.
After that, I say something to the effect of "Welcome to minecast! I'll quick get you up to date on all our hosts today. I'm Chez, (Say something about myself), (Other people introduce each other). Please do this in order of the names above, so we don't have everyone breaking into each other's sentences.
Then we go to recent updates, talk about those, maybe some significant twitter posts... Any general news.
Then we go onto the Suggestion Discussion, where we discuss any old suggestion we find in the suggestion threads. This can be swapped out for interviews and other exciting features, maybe ditched on the SURVIVAL MP ULTRA-CAST.
This can also be combined with reviewing some single player levels, but the reviewing would be done before hand and written out, so the reviewer would simply be reading the review out, maybe getting a few comments from other hosts as well.
BREAK. At this time people could go grab some food, water, or just chat with each other, the break would be 10 minutes long, so finish up your activities within 8 minutes, to make sure we have everyone. The editor would edit this little part out and put in some snazzy music to take its place.
This is time for the MAIN TOPIC! People can email us or something with "topic" or something in the subject line, and we'll find a good one to talk about, or just talk about something we come up with. This can really go astray, though, but a little off-topic doesn't hurt much...
Viewer mail, pretty simple, the host will do the reading of the mail.
Us wrapping it up, reminding them to send us emails, a resounding chorus of "BYE"
The music would be put into there as well.
EDIT: twitter.com/minecast
EDIT: RETURN OF THE EDIT: Zukuri, I like the site! How about I get a blog, along with everyone else?
Can I help with something? I'm seeing some really exciting ideas here and I'd love to get involved. I have good communication skills and I know Minecraft pretty well...
I'm ready for editing. Just email the mp3 or whatever of the podcast and any intro music when your done recording along with any info about where you want the intro music and stuff about any language I have to censor. Looking forward to this!

I thought you would be there to record as well? If not, I can cover for that. I just need some software.
By the way, the podcast can't go for more than an hour and 15 minutes, I have an appointment at 6:30.

Censoring language?
WHAT?
No, please not!
Sorry, we are censoring things, just to keep it a bit more kid friendly. I mean, 10 year olds play this game as well, and we do want to add to a larger audience. I mean, taking vulgar language will not lose viewers, I think.

Blog is ready!
Get it whilst it's hot kids!
Uh, I'll set up some accounts when chezhead tells me who needs one.
Looks good. So hot its burning my hands! :tongue.gif:

You guys should prepare show notes, like what letters will be read, the suggestion to be debated, etc.

Group call! Yeah, that's what I meant. Ok, I'll get a group call up on Wednesday, remember.
This Wednesday, 4:30 AMERICAN CENTRAL TIME.
I'm down for that time.
