I have 3d glasses from Avatar.. but they do not work.
... you took the glasses from the movie theater?? If so, then you're a moron. You're supposed to return them at the end of the movie, what you did is called 'stealing'. Depending on what method the theater used, they might be very expensive to make. Either way, they are useless to you.
But if you got them from a DVD then I really don't know. Assuming they're red and cyan, they should work. Maybe you're not giving your eyes enough time.
Nah, the new 3D glasses these days aren't red/cyan anymore. So they would not work. Also the theater I went in had no box to put the glasses back as well :ohmy.gif: and they didn't tell us to put it somewhere, so I kept it ;D. If you are really desperate for those glasses, look for a school supplies store of some sort, ask for cellophane paper and get a red and cyan one and make your own glasses O-o

Yes, that could work. It's not ideal, but would work.
Personally I got mine from a friend who got them with some newspaper or magazine or something. They can also be found boundled with 3D movie DVDs such as Spy Kids 3.
i got mine from spy kids 3. xD
Same, still have mine from when it was playing in theaters.

Oye, no name calling. Not every theater asks you to return them, that is a policy up to each location and public health laws. As far as useless goes, that is not true. The duel image system used in modern 3D is starting to get copied into home theater equipment and used in newer films, in fact you can watch up, avatar and the new how to train your dragon movie in a special format to copy it's behavior with the theater glasses.
Moron has some pretty negative roots, you're definitely not using it in it's scientific form. It's also derailing.
@Snake: They won't work. Modern 3D movies use two lenses that separate the red, green, and blue each in half. Minecraft uses Red/Cyan separation.
WRONG.
Modern 3D cinemas have 2 projectors projecting 2 slightly different images on the screen that are slightly out of alignment with each other, the glasses are polarised so that in 1 eye light from a certain angle light is blocked so you can only see 1 image and in the other eye you can only see the other image due to light blockage, this is the effect that creates the 3D illusion. If you ever took your glasses off at one point in the movie you would see a blury picture of 2 images side-by-side
To prove it: if you have an LCD computer screen you can make cool efffects by wearing the glasses and tilting your head, due to the way LCD screens works the glasses make the screen tint yellow at a certain angle and blue at another, while if you look at them through the wrong end insted of tinting at a certain angle the screen goes black! If you were bored during the ads before the movie this effect works with the projector image too.
All this is why unless you own a 3D cimena that has non-color-ruined 3D you need those shutter glasses (whole other post explaining how they work >.>).
Oops, you're right, i was thinking of Infitec glasses.
There are some movies that need 3D. Avatar and other action motion adventure movies. There are some movies that 3D is kind of pointless. Like the Yogi Bear movie. Seriously, you gotta see Yogi steal a pick-a-nic basket in 3D?
Similarly, Minecraft. It's blocks. Big blocky blocks. Is it going to be a substantially more blocky game in 3D?
They are red and...GREEN.
Oh man. Shot to the heart.
Really? It looked hokey to me. Maybe I'm not looking at the right angle?
