I think you should give each town it's own vibriancy. For instance, make one (these are only suggestions) a port city dedicated to trading and fishing, but lacks much else besides shops because it doesn't need it. Say there aren't many trees around. Well maybe there's a village with a lot of trees that trades. You could connect a road. Not only that, but adaptive construction is awesome. Basically it means building with the terrain and not going against it.

Oh, and what Anime is that picture from? It looks like a good one.
It's from Loveless.
If you want, I can make a world painter map for you. It could be whatever elevation, biomes, or size (though it has to be small enough so I can export it) and I can control cave size and location and resource amount and location. I could do whatever you want if you tell me WHAT you want.

Oh, that would be incredibly nice. I need to reset my current land. Too much snow. If you can, try to make it at least 6 biomes, about 1km in diameter (or just about 1km wide and long). My world is about 30KM of Snowy land right now. And try to make 1 cave in each biome, and in one have a large cave, not in depth put make it kind of expansive in width and length. On elevation, sea level might be about 50. I hope it's not too much trouble.

I went into the map and it looked amazing for the amount of time I put into it.
Welcome to the Celian Empire.
Picture Explained:
The map works like a topography map.
The white areas are frost. Closer lines together means higher the elevation and steeper the incline. Blue means resources like ores. Purple is caves, put in each biome as you requested, the plains having the largest caves. If you look closely you can see small pictures of trees. In the south it'll look like jungle trees, and the west like pine trees, ect, so you can see where the trees are. The darker the mark, the more trees.
Coming from the south, we have the Tropics, bordered by the [Insert Name Here] Sea. Starting with the swamp, the land gradually gets bigger as you go from the curling tip of the [Blank] Peninsula to the slightly mountainous jungle. Finally we get to the forests, generally unchanging in elevation. From there, a river splits the [Blank] Mountain range near the south. The forests grows slightly on the other side and on the west side of the mountain range, but then gradients into a rolling plain with small pockets of trees, and a few lakes. It is on the east coast plains that sandy beaches can be found. Heading back toward the mountain range, the mountains peak high in the sky, some reaching past the clouds. A few mountains are populated with pine trees, and others not. Hot blowing winds from the tropics mix with the air in the mountains, making the west coast area a snowy, rocky province. Along the south side you can find gravel beaches, and rocky islands off the coast. Pine trees stretch all along the coast until reaching the [Blank] Peninsula in the far north, where there are no trees; only snow.
Hope you enjoy it. If you need any changes made, I can do that but you won't get your buildings saved.

I'll be done in about... 2 months.
If you think I should add a building, tell me.

That's an amazing idea! I'll put it in.
Also 1 Noble's house is completed!
