It's not always the best choice to go for a perfect placement of regular objects.
These cannons have varied space between them and they are not all placed on the same height level either. Makes it way more interesting than a perfect row!
Serious armor plates now cover the once vulnerable main engines and a new part of the superstructure that sports 6 AA turrets guards and covers it.
The side engines have been connected to the hull but there is still a bit left to add there
The hangar has been reworked to being slightly darker so it doesnt immediately stand out of the parts surrounding it.
The superstructure now has some rocked pods added to its weaponry
The large armor plate behind the gunship hangar is now split in 3 parts and shows the heat ventilation behind it, also making the look of it fit the surrounding parts.
Lots and lots of greeble has been added to the underside of the ship but that is not entirely done.
Still time to bring some interesting feedback to the table since nothing is final yet!
Everything was build in the game
Nothing was created using model converting software or anything of that sort.
The only third party tool that assists me building is MCEdit which I use to mirror the progress for time saving.
Basically what I do is build one side of the ship and then mirror it over to the other side.

Cool
Oooh, a steampunk build! I haven't seen a good one for a while, I'll be watching this in awe!
Thank you! I hope you stick around until the end!
There's a lot of interesting and exciting things to come so I hope you will not be disappointed in how it turns out
Althrough I have to admit it's not going to be too much into the steampunk corner as it might look like.
Time for some small stuff, right?
RIGHT

It is really taking shape and looking like a beast.
This is impressive. All I have to say is best of luck to you!

Thanks!
What resource pack are you using?
It looks very futuristic - it has a Star Wars/space fantasy kind of feel to it. I loving watching this progress, keep up the good work!
This texture pack was created specifically for my old home server CreativeNode.
http://www.mediafire.com/download/104x0df414pq2d6/Creative-Node.1.0.3.zip
Here is the download.
The server went offline over a year ago but the Texture pack is still intact and receives some updates once in a while.
Thanks a lot!
Updates are on the way. I guess in about an hour or so there should be something to show
It's a nice texture pack.
This looks even better in orange tiger paint!
Before
And after. A lot more needs to be done to call it "done" but it's not too far away!
Wait what? the last update was just 4 hours ago? I really need to stop playing so much!
Anyways, here is a new set of renders showing the latest progress.
FIRE UP THE ENGINES!!!
Done!
Unbelievable how fast it went in the end.
The project is finished and will be put on free download VERY soon! (in a few hours most likely.)
I also decided to make different versions in case red isn't your favourite color!
How about the tiger paint i came up with?
No? How about blue?
Other colors to chose from : Deep black, Yellow, Green Camo and Pure White (not done yet)
You made 7 differently colored versions!?
