I just can't play the game anymore. It's not that I don't want to, I don't know how.
I mean, experience was vital, it allowed you to have enchantments and repairs for your tools which allowed you to do things, unless you wanted to sink your entire day into unenchanted mining. Fine.
Bedrock spawning and despawning algorithms completely break what was setup in Java because of the existence of mob farms (experience requirements increased) and mob caps, drowned, density checks, and the cylindrical method of spawning pretty much make this game peaceful mode. I can go into second level menus and cycle the difficulty to friendly every few minutes, but is that really a solution?
Of course, no mobs means no slimes. It's impossible to build anything without slimes, breaks any farm designs, so while you can barely build an auto potato farm, at least you can trade with villagers for experience. It's not nearly as quick, but it's possible.
And now villagers are done for. I can't make trading halls, the trades they support are weird and inconsistent, I cannot assign workstations to individual villagers (to organize) and trips to the nether often have me notice jobs have completely changed. Then again, I'm not a fan of having to babysit villages on the off chance I've just been given a protect mission.
So I don't get it. How am I supposed to trade consistently with villagers? how am I supposed to get experience? How am I supposed to get slime blocks? How am I supposed to use enchantments? Is the direction this game wants to go cell phones and mini games? thats fine, I would have been happy with the old xbox version, dolphins aren't cool enough for limited functionality like this. I mean, these things have been on the JIRA for over a year and have seemingly just fallen into the void, no idea what, if anything can or is being done about this.
Maybe the frustration means it's impossible for me to see this new wonderful gameplay that is better than the way minecraft has been since 2011. Luckily I have the old xbox360 version, I guess I'll just go back... Let me either repair the broken system, or revert some of the design choices that were made because of the old system of things
