Do you think 4J studios would ever add any known 32x32 texture packs such as faithful for shapx or any of the others? looking foward to seeing what other people have to say in the commets
on the pc im always on some kind of texture pack, even some i made myself, but for some reason on the xbox ive not found one that i like so end up going back to the default,
shame they dont add some from the pc as they could add them fairly simply and quick, but guess its the copy right of the material they have to over come
yea I dont really like any of the texture packs they have for xbox right now either
Natural, Fantasy, and the City texture pack. The came out in that order. I think after the plastic texture pack they went 32x for their inhouse texture packs.
It's a shame really. All of the texture packs aren't bad, but I think each one has a few downsides. I don't think 4J has hit that sweet spot just yet. The City pack is good, but I think all of the wood types except oak aren't very good, and the textures are sorta limiting. I really don't like jungle wood in the City pack. I'm not a fan of the armor textures either. The Fantasy pack could've been a cool texture pack if it wasn't for the horrible gold trim on everything. The gold trim really just ruins it for me. The Natural is the best texture pack offered by 4J at the moment in my opinion. But the smooth stone isn't great, and the stone bricks have this heavy outline which isn't terrible but it could be much better.
The mash up pack textures are just 16x. Which just makes them look bad in my opinion. I really was looking forward to the Skyrim mash up, but for such a detailed game the transfer to 16x textures is jarring. The 16x for mash up packs is a real downside. It has kinda turned me off to future mash ups. The Halo one looks to be 16x as well. Looking at the ground you can see the larger pixels.

I suspect that's because of the sound files that also go into the mash up packs. I wonder if they would consider spinning off texture packs alone that are based on the mash up packs... in 32X.

So I heard they like Server Population?
