I assume you are looking for what ingredients you can gather to make some of the new items or things you can do in the new update? And/or maybe what will become rare that you should stockpile up on?
Get lots of leather and sticks. You'll need them to make the new item frames.
Goto your nether and get all the glowstone and/or dust that you can. Maybe netherrack and soulsand as well. With the new nether reset option all the old stuff will dissappear--though you will get whole new supplies to mine. If your big into collecting netherbricks you will probably want to collect as much of that as possible before a nether reset as well since you can smelt it down after the update to make your own nether bricks.
Make a wart farm in the overworld. Sure right now it will not grow, but when the update hits it will.
Have plenty of materials for all the new stuff, so maybe a massive storage room called TU9 that has all the materials needed for making the new stuff.
Make 3 tree farms, all separate for best efficiency. That way you will have tree farms for the new colored wood. Best done underground so you can have a more controlled environment for the tree farms. Just keep in mind 2 spaces apart for the birch & oak with a 7-8 tall ceiling.. As for spruce it should be 4 spaces apart with a ceiling of 8-9. That is 5x5 for each tree (birch & oak) and 7x7 for each tree (spurce); This just makes it so the farms have a decent productivity & efficiency for harvest.
Get ready for the dragon in the end. Enchanted Armor of your choice, with a decent Sword/bow to go along with it. Just in case things get tough.
That is all I can think of at the moment...:D
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

Something tells me it gets very smelly in that minecraft town.
