well whats the point of having ender pearls if theres no use for them? there was no use for xp but it was removed. im just saying, give it a purpose or do an update right. however 4j did good in the other departments. i just want to know who else would rather wait a little bit more and get a bug free and usefull update
pretty good chance having endemen drop what theyre supposed to drop isnt causing any major bugs. So... yeah. Also, no update will ever be bug free, and what exactly makes this update useless??

Well if you played the Pc version, that is what happened too in the 1.8.0 update. Experience is still here and used for enchanting. I see your point but they will have use to it in the next update, 1.2.3
It shouldn't be in the game for hoarding purposes. It currently has no use, so it should have been removed until the feature was fully implemented. That's like having pistons that don't respond to redstone, or compasses that spin constantly. They're not necessary to the core game, but they are also serving absolutely no use. Minecraft may be one of the only games to be released in "beta" form on the Xbox Live marketplace (I'm not sure if it's mentioned anywhere), but it should not have incomplete features.
It annoys me too but u just get used to it after a while, basically the same deal with the exp. bar, except they didn't take out the pearls
P.S. The title is too general.

im almost positive 4j stated that it was released as a full game, but is "an equivalent" to the PC beta. i'm not going to bother looking up the source because it was around the time of the game's release and im not going to argue because i'm not going to bother looking up to the source. if you can find one saying the opposite that'd be great, but i'm like 90% sure they said it is a full game, and is considered an entirely different game from the PC minecraft.

You would have waited a really, really, really long time for a bug free update.
Also, what do you mean by useful update? This update seems pretty useful to me. Added new mobs, new combat, new hunger, new food, new terrain, new structures, etc, etc....
Minecraft fans, not sure that is the right word, never cease to amaze me. You guys will find anything to whine about. Really? Making a thread to complain mostly about Ender Pearls being in the game just because they have no use right now?

Well most of xbox minecraft players are little kids, I mean that is almost a fact. Ever went into ANY game lobby and over half of the people are kids?

I agree with that 100%
BUT, why would anyone complain about it? For one, if it's there, it doesn't work, all you have to do is not use it, and I promise it will never give you any problems. Sure, it shouldn't be there, but the fact that it is doesn't have any negative effects at all, in fact it has a few positive ones. You can get a head start collecting the item for when it does function, and now 4J has that much less work to do in the next update.
Not to mention, if there weren't any ender pearls there would be no point in killing endermen. A lot of people would most likely completely ignore a newly added mob. 4J definitely wouldn't want that.
Are ya gonna whine about saddles too? I like that they are here already. I'm a hoarder. Gimme the Precious!!!
What's there to whine about saddles? They've been in the game forever and are instant hilarity in multiplayer. They weren't incomplete, they served their purpose. Put a saddle on a pig IRL and see what happens. Endermen dropping a useless ball is a different story.
This is the first time I have ever seen people complain about having extra stuff in a game. Regardless of whether it has a purpose now or later. Minecraft is a game of incomplete features. That's kind of the point of Minecraft. Always changing, always being added to.
This just proves that people will find anything to complain about.
Ender Pearls were added in the 1.8 release, and in the first pre-release of 1.9 they were given the ability to teleport.
Later we will have the chance to kill the Ender Dragon, it will drop a Dragon Egg that has no use and you can't pick it up. (on the pc not sure how xbox will work though). Should they remove the Egg since it has no purpose?
The Exp bar served no purpose. All it was, was a green/yellow bar that filled up. No numbers. Just a green bar. Having a enemy drop an item is completely different. Why kill it if there was going to be nothing to gain?

Exactly. A lot of their arguments don't make sense either, stating it's an "incomplete feature". Well, by that logic pumpkins should also be removed. Though they have some use, we don't yet have the ability to craft seeds from them, making it an incomplete feature. I guess we should also remove redstone until lamps, new repeater mechanics, glowstone logic, and the block update bug fix are added. After all, it is an incomplete feature.
I mean, we could just ignore the items that don't have a purpose yet, like we do with the other things we don't use. But what would be the fun in that? This sub-forum was built on exploiting the most menial of errors that only the OP and 3 to 5 other people care about.
