It's just something that I thought about a few days ago, and did some research on the beta versions that will be released for the 360. The announced release month is POSSIBLY next month(august), or September, as posted on the upcoming features on minecraftwiki.net. My theory is with a lot of the features that were added from beta version 1.8 to beta version 1.8.1 or beta version 1.8.2 of Minecraft, it would take at least an additional month to get the pc beta version working properly for the 360 version. It's a pretty big list, and with the sound update added into the mix, it makes sense. Abandoned mineshafts, strongholds, npc villages, etc. would take quite awhile to get functioning like they should for the 360.
For the official minecraft pc version 1.2.3, that would take 4 to 6 months to get it all nice and pretty for the 360. Just take a look on minecraftwiki.net for yourself and you will see what I mean. Hope this helps everyone. Happy Minecrafting on either the pc or 360 version.
I don't expect 1.8.2 until at least September. I don't think 1.2.3 will take longer than it will take 1.8.2 though. And keep in mind, the wiki is good for a lot of things, but releases dates is not one of them. Until 4J Studios gives any confirmation, anything you see is just speculation.

Well 1.8 was released around september for pc and 1.7 was released on july. since 4j has more staff it should take up to sept at most. If it takes longer all hope is lost in 4j
On minecraftwiki.net, the beta 1.8.1 update was changed from possibly august or september to TBA.
As is said above it's all speculation. The Minecraft wiki can be edited by pretty much anyone. The closest thing to an actual official statement is in fact "TBA"
OP, listen to this...
If pattern continues then august is a bug fix update (this is confirmed and it is in cert testing right now...) Then the september update is 1.82. Thats how it goes...

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
