Well, when responding here on the forums I don't care too much about punctuation, just as long as it is spelled correctly. My response to him was nothing but that. I only came to this thread to address my findings with 4J nothing more or less. But since it bothers you I will write properly to you.
Upload from PS3 to PS4 STILL is not working. It finally uploaded from PS3, but now when you go to PS4, it will NOT download. I would have thought that maybe TESTING the update before sending it out would have been done, but apparently not.
Can we get some response? When is the patch coming to allow PS4 to download world saves again from PS3 and PS Vita.
Stop leaving us in the dark. All we want is an ETA or an answer. Not telling me oh we are just going to ignore the problem for a year until it finally goes away.
No one ever answers us.
All the JIRAs get closed because they are duplicates and not worked.
After the 1.42 update today all my maps are showing a seed of (0) at the loading screen and my nether portals don't work properly. I have a rail in the nether between 2 portals between my base and some spawners and they've always worked but now all the portals just take me back to my base. Also my game froze whilst playing.
i have also noticed the pixalation and i use the City texture pack. it is different and seems pixeled, other than the seeds being reset to 0 on every single save, which make me wonder how QA could have let something this major slip into an update (seed #;s should be an automatic regression test prior to a release imo).
i haven't been very impressed over the last few updates since they broke the boat steering which is god-awful, and the tool / hand speed which is horrible since 1.39 or 1.40, but this.. i am very worried i will lose these saves which are worlds my kids and i have worked on for years..
on closer inspection, many of the textures for items when displayed in the hotbar are different than before the 1.42 update with the City pack. i noticed many different flowers such as roses and dandeliions, as well as dead bush are not the same as before. i also noticed more issues with end portals spawning when respawning the end dragon. sometimes they skip and do not appear at all. i tried different worlds, on one world, i got 1 on the first end dragon kill, then on #4 and 5. another world was on #1, 3, 4, 6. there's a huge inconsistency as to when the portals actually appear. i was under the impression this was fixed last update, but it doesn't look like it was.
will the boat navigation also be fixed any time soon ?
and i wonder what kind of impact this will have on our saves / worlds when this happens, especially Nether and End which always seems to change with every update when resetting them... i am extremely concerned about this one....
The things that haven't been working for me since 1.42:
Seeds seem to be at zero (seems to be known)
Netherportals are jacked up (seems to be known)
We respawned the end dragon and didn't get a city portal (I haven't seen this show up yet)
I use PS4 Link with my PS Vita almost every day...many of the control on the vita aren't functional. I cannot swap my item bar is the main annoyance. I've also noticed that I can't change into crouch position while playing with my vita, or change my point of view. It seems that the D-Pad as well as the touch screen corner controls aren't functional with this update.

another thing i noticed today, being an avid farmer, Sugar Cane growth time takes 3 times longer than before. before 1.42, it took roughly 15 minutes for a full garden to be grown. today i waited close to 40 minutes and still had over half my stalks not ready. i haven't tested the other gardening items yet but i will tomorrow.
as for the textures being borked, seems with all the texture packs, the inworld textures are correct, but in the hotbar / inventory / crafting table, all the textures are for the default texture packs which means 1.42 also broke every texture pack
so far 1.42 is a disaster as it now has caused / broken more items than it apparently fixed.
my suggestions is rollback this update completely, and then do the intensive regression that should have been done, before pushing it again.
will the boat navigation engine be fixed any time soon ? it's horrible and the controls are horrid. my 8 year son who used to love boating, now refuses to even use a boat because, and i quote, "this really sucks now, i hate boats". and when an 8 year old says this, you know it's bad.
So what do you do if you do not have the original seed? How can you recreate the world?
It seems the updates always leave us with more bugs than fixes. We just got over the pig spawner glitch and now the Nether links are broken and the seeds are zero. :-( or xD.
They have resolved the issue and it will be patched in the 1.43 update so you'll just have to wait till the patch drops
This is an issue with the save passing the seed to the front end.
When the 1.43 update drops saving the world will show the seed again.

Okay so after TONS of digging through the JIras, It looks like this is being fixed in next patch.

Oh no. I use the natural texture pack.
I have also heard of peoples worlds going to seed zero.
But not erasing the world this time.

The issue with the seed number and nether portals are scheduled to be fixed in the 1.43 update.
