As it has been said, Mojang has got our money and they are applying the Alfred E. "Me Worry!".
Do you even hear yourself when you say that Phil?
If you have 45 years in IT, then you should know a mentality like that will ruin a business.
Those type of assumptions just annoy me. School yard thinking is all it is.

Does this pictures of the changelog mean that this bug has been known since the beginning of last year? Claimed to be fixed? In fact it was not? And is now being ignored?
The original issue causing the failed to load error was indeed fixed.
However with each subsequent patch other methods of calling the error have been introduced.
We are still investigating the cause and potential fixes.

This is also happening during a auto save on the ps3 system it will work great starting out for about 30 40 min then the load screen error pops up hope there is a patch for this soon as im getting tired of playing a broken game that will not work efficiently !!
Have you tried an efficiency enhancement?
Or have you just tried to turn off autosave?
If you searched or read though some of the comments here, you'll have noticed that a good majority say they have turned off autosave because of this bug.
I haven't used Autosave since TU19 and have only had this happen a few times since.

Anyways, I posted this a while back. Not too long ago but as everyone says, I was mad. I was complaining as well, but let me tell you why. I am complaining because people are looking forward to new add ons in the game. I am too, who wouldn't be? However at the same time I am not because that means new problems that have to be fixed. Now think here for a second. If there are new problems that have to be fixed then this "FTL" (Failure To Load) problem will probably get pushed behind even more and could potentially grow worse. Now with that said I want to say something on the light side of things. I have been playing on a map with my girlfriend for a long enough time to have around 18 villagers a simple redstone door contraptions. Mass farms, Mass cave work progress, Enchanted items, Awesome leisure fishing time, and five buildings in all. I put my work into weird things, anyways, in the beggining it would freeze constantly. We had to auto save every 15min. Now you may be thinking "Well this isn't light at all!" It is, I found that everytime a player moved during the gameplay auto save the more frequent the "FTL" issue would pop up. However, when we stop during the countdown and wait, it seems that the auto save does its job without problems, even after 6h of gameplay. Now, I have been in the nether, I have lagged, and I have had many things spawn around me and chase me, Don't forget the redstone work either. It all lead to the "FTL", however, lately it hasn't happened except maybe once every 4 to 5 days. That is because we sign in when the player is working on something by accident, or because someone moved or was fighting during autosave. Now, I have noticed me waiting for it to save and then playing again works almost all the time. If everyone can do it on a server then it would probably help the game as well. I don't know why it works but it does. It helps a lot and there is a lot less of that "FTL". Obviously sometimes it saves when you're moving at the same time but you're basically taking a gamble of the game crashing.
Lastly, I think they should focus on the "FTL" Bug and then worry about other updates and such before they put new bugs into the game. I would put this in top priority if I was them. What use is a game that does not work 80-70% of the time.
It actually is on their top priorities as Steven W. has already stated (numerous times).
In fact it has actually been fixed a bunch of times, but with each Title Update, the bug finds another way to cause the error.
Putting future update on the backburner to work on this issue that actually doesn't affect everybody equally isn't very fair to the people who aren't having the same problems as some.
But even if they did fix it like Steven said a while ago. It still could just pop up in the next title update again.
Who's to say that maybe a Title update is needed to fix it in the first place?
I would be comfortable in saying that 4J Studios has a team of Developers working on this issue, and another team working on future release updates.
It's frustrating, I get that. Fortunately for me I've only had the error happen to me less than a dozen times since I created this thread last year, so I actually look forward to the 1.9 equivalent Title update. A bug fix would be nice too. But till then, I'll continue to save manually in my survivor world regularly and keep on buildin' on.

Manual saves aren't any less likely to freeze. If it's not happening to you, it's probably because you play on Survival (fewer builds, especially with redstone) and don't host your server for hours at a time. My server had two near-empty maps which never experienced this issue. Both survival-only maps. Once I added some stuff to it to make it a decent PVP map - just landmines and bases, nothing crazy or very redstone-heavy - it began experiencing this issue. The one which is still empty almost never experiences the issue. It's literally making the game unplayable, if you play "too much" on one map, it essentially breaks it.
Putting future update on the backburner to work on this issue that actually doesn't affect everybody equally isn't very fair to the people who aren't having the same problems as some.
Releasing a game that doesn't function as advertised is less "fair" than making fixing that game your highest priority. 4j Steve says this issue has been fixed previously, I'm not sure if I would believe that. I never noticed any improvement from one update to another (only noticed it getting worse), and it has NEVER been mentioned in any changelog.

Yes, I am playing survival, WITH friends joining in randomly. Plenty of redstone builds, in fact that's all I have really. Massive item sorters, Mumbo's latest super efficient high output mob farm, Gold farm with 8 20 x 20 nether portals, train stations, automatic potato, carrot, and wheat farms, 60 story high fully automatic Piston/slime block sugar cane farm, massive iron golem farm, auto villager farmer with auto feeder attachment, Passive mob grinder that uses a lot of running water, and underneath that a slime farm, also a lot of running water. Mining stations, item delivery systems... I'd say a ton of redstone. Massive furnace system, pumpkin farms.. I've got it all.
What might be helping me is I stay away from Item Frames as they eat up a lot of memory when you use a lot. I'll play 10 - 12 hours a day when I have the time and don't have this happen. My map is about 95 percent explored also.

Well, lucky you then lol. I have less than that (but also gigantic architectural builds) and my server won't even stay online for 2 hours. My main server is item-frame heavy, but my add-on server I mentioned in my previous post has very few.
Luck? Maybe? I also manual save when I notice a lag spike. Do nothing for about 30 seconds to a minute, and then continue. This is an obvious memory leak, so whenever I feel the game choking, I'll save and chill a bit.
It helps if you can turn off redstone builds when not in use also. Like the mob grinder as that monster is a huge Lag maker.
Avoid using lots of item frames. Clean up your mining debris (cobblestone pieces ect..) Anything that is an individual entity like the items you put into frames, leftover mining blocks, seeds floating on the ground all those floating items are what kills your memory on these consoles. It's the little things I think make a big difference for me being able to play for so long without any issues.
I dunno, luck maybe. Or that I know what a memory leak looks like and do what I need to before it dies.

I definitely think this is a thing of luck, I experience this on a daily basis with very few Redstone builds no online play, no floating materials, no mob grinders constantly running and auto save turned off. It's a constant aggregation. But I can't complain as I have not played more than about 4 months.
the auto save is not the problem not is it the cause ive said it in the past and ill say it again here there is no limitation on the animations for the system i made a video also proving this for the ps3 secondly microsoft should keep there and no offense grubby hands out of it they cause to much harm to great games and i would hate to see this end up as a fail. tho they do own the game they just shouldnt even touch it as far as my opinion goes theres a great team doing a great enough job as it is. as far as the ftl this urgently needs to be looked at no poshing it off doing other things it needs to be addressed. and if they are indeed looking into it thats great cant wait for the fix so i can play again i have stopped playing because of the ftl. as far as the animations maybe its something to look at.
Looks like v1.25 for PS3 may have the "Failed to Load" issue fixed. I find it interesting the problem is (was?) related to memory. I wonder if it was a memory leak as some of us suggested? I have my fingers crossed, because my wife hogs the PS4 which leaves me the PS3.
I have two maps that crash very frequently so I'll be able to tell you guys within 1 or 2 days if the issue is fixed. That is, if 1.25 ever releases in my region...still says 1.24 is the most recent.

I'm sure I'm stating the painfully obvious here, but I hope it truly is fixed. Just yesterday I gave up on PS3 Minecraft and started looking into PC Minecraft. If I can have a 24/7 community again, I'll be very happy.
