Hello!
I love the PS3 minecraft! But there are a few problems that need to be addressed. One is the Wolf and the cats, sometimes, they won't follow you when you sit them down. Now, I know that you have to make sure your hands are free and you use L2 *for ps3 version* to make them stand, and it doesn't work. I've tried feeding them food and hitting them and it still doesn't work. Another thing is the horses. I know that in order to get a horse, you have to tame it and have a saddle ready to ride it, but my biggest thing is that if you walk away from them after a certain distance and come back, they de-spawn. I've tried fencing them in and tying them up, but they still de-spawn. This also goes with the mules and donkeys. I hope you guys are able to fix this problem and I will be looking forward to your new update! Thanks for taking the time to read this!
As for wolves, I'm confused with "they won't follow you when you sit them down". Nope, they won't. You tell them to sit, they sit- whether you're around or not, or even if you go to sleep. Hitting them won't gain you a thing, and feeding them won't make them stand. I don't waste my time with wolves, so maybe someone else can help you with that part. But there's no "bugs" here.
what I meant was that when I would sit the dogs down and try to make them stand back up, they won't stand back up and i don't understand the reason for that? And with the update for the horses, I haven't got a notice saying for the update, but maybe I just have to wait a bit.
Update for horses came through with the last patch....so unless your PS3 isn't connected to the net then you should've recieved it. As for the wolf problem I've not experienced any issues....but like Geneo I don't waste my time with them either. It's probably just another bug if you can't get them to stand....unfortunately the game is full of niggly little issues at the moment. With a bit of luck 4J are working on fixing the multiple bugs still present. However, knowing 4J, you'll just have to be patient.

I know I said "But there's no bugs here", but actually there has always been bugs, and always will be bugs, with every version. If you look at any of the change logs:
The addition list is this long: [----------]
The bug fix list is this long: [----------------------------]
And that's the way it's been since Day One. They'll fix 2 bugs, but each addition introduces 2 new bugs. Minecraft will never be 'perfect'.
Even things that aren't "bugs" the community will think they're "bugs". Remember the zombie/potato fiasco? In the console versions zombies were never suppose to drop potatoes in the first place, but the community thought they should (cause they do in the PC, right?). There was such a huge flap about it 4J changed it so zombies (rarely) dropped potatoes- and everyone shut up. Crisis averted.
As for your wolf problem, hit the same thing (I think it's right trigger, but it might be left) to make him stand as you did to make him sit. If that doesn't work, I'd make a new "test" world (creative is easier), find a wolf, tame him, and experiment with him. If you can get him to stand there, then there really is no "bug"- it might be something wrong with other world (and I have no idea how to "fix" it).
As for your horse problem, from what I've been reading on the forums they still despawn, even after the update. I know everyone wants to know what the Magic Condition is to keep them from despawning, but there isn't one. Taming, saddleing, name tagging, stabling, corraling... forget it. Nothing that I've heard of works for sure.
As Thr33_Nin3s said, 4J will fix the bugs... eventually.
But they'll be new ones to gripe about.
I had this problem more than once with wolves and cats pre-update to 1.12- I just left the game and reloaded and it remedied itself - BTW, after loading the update ALL of my tamed wolves were down to 1/2 heart and needed healing.
Also, there is a splash screen that appears while the game loads that reads-
"90% Bug free!"
I think every platform functions within expected norms- otherwise, there is another splash:
"Do not look directly at the bugs"
(I guess they're like Endermen- you'll just agitate them)

I'll try to reconnect to the internet and like you said, there will always be bugs and I just have to get over them until they are fixed, but thanks for the help!
3) At some point during the game, the screen goes black, you're sent back to the PS3 home screen and lose all unsaved progress.
Re-installation, etc. doesn't fix the problem.
You're not the only one I'm afraid. The failing to load issue (or game freezing) is a common occurrence at the moment. I never used to auto save (as I didnt tend to die often) but set it to 15 min intervals due to these bugs. I thought it was just my system getting old but after playing a few other games quickly realised it was just a minecraft issue.

IM HAVING ISSUES WITH DISPENSERS I USED THEM TO MAKE AN AUTOMATIC MOB SPAWNER AND WATER WILL SPAWN BLOCKS NOT EVEN NEAR THE DISPENSERS AND EVEN ON OTHER DECKS OF THE SPAWNER
i have noiced that if you are cooking something and you hover over it with lets say iron ore and press square. The iron will have the equivalent amount of time left as the other item did
hi i play minecraft on ps3 but do not have cats anywhere in none of my games .. do you know whats gone wrong or if i can fix it
I assume your looking in jungles right? That's the only place they'll appear. But if that's what you're doing and you've seen none then it's probably just a bug (you know.....stack one more on the list...why not).

HI! I play just on minecraft ps3 edition so i would know. Cats only spawn in jungles and they are kinda rare too so it can be pretty hard to find them in your world and i'm pretty sure if you don't have a jungle in your world you cant get any cats. hope this helps!

You also need to be on a non-Peaceful difficulty setting. Ocelots do not spawn on Peaceful.
Had a weird one yesterday, couldn't travel in water, couldn't even enter shallow water including spilled water. This lasted for about .5 hour and sorted itself out once I died and respawned.
I've noticed another bug that's popped up recently: when you mine blocks they teleport to the surface. This is annoying as it means when i'm strip mining, i lose materials as by the time I reach the surface to get the block, I either can't find it or it has despawned.
Yes, I've noticed this bug as well, very new, doesn't happen all the time.
If you have 1 layer above you, stone or dirt, the mined blocks kind of float through to the top side. I've lost iron and gold this way because I didn't actually know where the mined iron blocks disappeared to. I stumbled upon other mined blocks that were 1-2 layers above and put 2 and 2 together.
