you don't need a mute option . You can only play with your friends ., If your cousin is not your friend don't play with them .
They are my friends. I do realize I don't have to play with them. I figured somebody might say that... Basically we do have fun and enjoy playing together. There's just times where they can get annoying for a second. Like for example a friend will start singing and won't stop. In other games if I were to mute them they'd stop because they couldn't stand me muting them. I know it probably doesn't make sense why I'd want this feature if I can kick them or not play with them; but for me it does.
There needs to be a muting button. I hate it when I make a party and then I'll invite my friends then they'll invite their friends and every ones talking at once. I hope they get a muting button on the next update.

This is one of those things where it just reminds me of how much the PS3 sucks compared to the 360.
Since there's no party chat on ps3, you have to rely on game chat, and... as you said there's no muting. Period.
Not sure what Sony was thinking with this one.. But they really n eeded it. Luckily I believe that they put all that on PS4 though. So I mean, PS4 seems appealing but I think PS3 is garbage.. I had one but got rid of it. But I might get PS4 though.

Ps3 also has one notable advantage: PSN is free of charge

It's my cousins I play with and sometimes their friends. Sometimes they can get annoying.

Wow... Then it must be that 4J hasn't implemented the feature yet.
I know I've tried that in the past but they don't listen.

If your playing on a server and not the host, it would be nice to mute individual players, especially when anyone is able to join.
I hate the cussing/cursing some of my friends do. But I like their building skills, I don't want to exactly kick them.
