I was trying to make an automated smelter but I can't find where to make hoppers? I am also wanting to make an automated chicken cooker but without hoppers I don't see that working out to well... Any thoughts? Cheers Beer
The console versions of the game (360/PS3) don't include hoppers. I actually started playing the PC version, after a couple of months on 360, just so I could have them. I really enjoy automating things, and that's not as possible in the console games. (I play PC, 360, PE, and Pi on and off)
are there any plans to include that in an update?. I mean that is quite a big part of the game. Not having comparators or hoppers really limits the creativity aspect of the game.

I believe they said something about it a while back, but I can't put my finger on where/when. I hope they do, because they're the big thing keeping me from playing the 360 game more. I like automating things.
Last I heard TU 16 was just going to be a bug fix with a couple of texture packs included, but I would love it if they added hoppers. That way I could make an automatic charcoal factory and never have to worry about running out of coal again.
Same I just got a PS3 with Minecraft and I just recently just made a mob farm and it included hoppers and I did some more research on hoppers and how it automatically puts thing in chests and etc. but since there are no hoppers in Minecraft PS3 edition it makes things even worse because then I have to stand in one place getting some items and it really sucks because if there were hoppers in Minecraft PS3 edition then it would automatically put things in the chests that it is on and in the meantime, I could be trading with villagers or doing upgrades on my house but I can't since I have to stand in on spot and having to put things in the chests myself this really sucks.

(To keep from being "disappointed" in the future, I'd stick to ps3 videos when playing the ps3.)
