im hoping someone can help as both Nintendo and Microsoft are denying all responsibility and blaming each other.
I have triplet boys 7 years old, they got a switch each for last Christmas and a hard copy of minecraft each. I set up Nintendo accounts in a family group with me as the parent and I set up individual Microsoft Xbox accounts for myself and each of the boys.
They have played with each other and built some amazing things together, it seems like a great game for learning as well as play but there has always been connection issues. The accounts randomly logging out etc but recently it has become completely unplayable as a multiplayer on both the internet and local play.
For the the last month or two they have not been able to play together as when they try to join they get disconnected immediately or within a minute of joining. Errors include server disconnects and Microsoft account disconnects.
Both Nintendo and Microsoft support are blaming each other and have not offered any sort of resolution.
I have tried the following things before before you ask as well
reset all three consoles to factory settings 3 times (9resets in total!)
logged in and paired the Microsoft accounts more than 300 times over the last few months
reset my router more than 50 times over the last couple of months
i have high speed broadband 200mg virgin media, the consoles were all brand new from Argos and they do take care of them.
Im at a loss now as to what to do, the boys want to play together and it’s really frustrating they can’t for both me and them. Even local play is terrible and always has been as it randomly disconnects or says it can’t find the game server even when the consoles are touching each other!
Im at my wits end about this, I’m fairly competent with computing but if anyone has any other ideas as to what I can do please please say because I’m going chuck them out the window soon!
