I was playing my main survival world in my switch, one that I’ve spent at least over 30+ hours on. I have a relatively large house that is 3 stories high, and my bed is on the top floor in a sizeable room. The location I lived at was pretty much perfect in every sense of the way, except for the nether portal location. The location of my portal in the nether was.. awful. I wanted to fix that, so my plan was to go into the nether and destroy the portal with a bucket of lava, and then commit suicide. Id spawn in my bed, nothing out of the ordinary, so I did it. The weirdest thing is that I actuall did spawn back in my bed. I had the fire animation still going since I’d killed myself with lava, but it wasn’t damaging me. Figured it was a glitch, ignored it. 5 seconds later I somehow ended up at the main spawn point, despite having spawned at my bed. It was as if I had been teleported there. I have a tendency to build a looong ways from spawn, so I was probably tens of thousands of blocks away from my house now. I tried killing myself again, but I kept spawning at my original spawn now. My bed wasn’t destroyed, there’s no way since its so high up where nothing can get it and I had already spawned there originally. I had already died and spawned at my bed several times before this point. This has never happened to me in my countless hours of mc, and even now I still can’t find my home. Is there an explanation?
Yep I have the exact same problem, have you found a solution? The game on the switch has so many bugs, it won’t even let me in my world due to an error
This happened to me on Win 10 too. Recently, out of 5-6 deaths, I spawned back at my original site twice instead of the bed location. Luckily I wasn't that far off... maybe two days travel. But still annoying. Is this a new bug? Only started happening recently.
