If you get the Minecraft Nintendo switch edition it works. No problems. The bedrock edition, with the aquatic stuff is the new one entitled just Minecraft in the e-shop is seeming to have a lot of trouble for many people. I myself have not been able to use the newest version since February. When it did work, we were able to import our worlds from the switch edition and play in the newer version. There is no ability to transfer the world back to the switch edition. In my honest opinion I would not bother yet with the 1.9 version.
i might get Minecraft on the switch but I want to know if I can go back to previous versions like 1.7. If anyone knows please let me know
