Primary: On the Switch there is currently no way to effectively add each other as friends in the public server lobbies. You may add them as friends within the server lobby but that does not apply to your Nintendo Switch account, private realm or world. It adds the player’s Microsoft account and they become your friend on Xbox even if I am signed in to Nintendo Switch Online. I have to reference my Xbox for any account names and manually send an invite or to retrieve the players Switch profile information.
Secondary: Hmu if you want to play. I don’t have a realm yet but I’d make one if I got some good people. Working on a cool huge Guardian Farm right now, although I don’t think the huge factor is going to help with the drop rate on Switch because the mob caps seem pretty low if it’s not at a spawner. Like my Ender Farm only spawns 12 or so even though It’s set up for max proficiency. My iron farms seem to run a little slower than they did on Xbox and the chunks load in slower. I like playing with the joy cons and being able to take it on the go though.
