Is anyone else having problems linking nether portals on the switch? I am playing on a medium sized map and have tried both a 1:6 ratio and 1:8 and still can't get them to properly link. I've never had a problem on the PS4 edition.
I've been having headaches with this, yeah. Initially it was the wrong ratio (Medium world, so 1:6 is accurate), but the ongoing issue is that the overworld portals appear to be sticking incorrectly in certain (if not most) situations.
Given the following portals:
Overworld A: 130, 102, 45
Overworld B: -210, 35, 936
Nether A: 22, 103, 8
Nether B: -35, 105, 155
The Overworld portals will always send me to the expected Nether counterpart. However, more often than not, if I don't save/quit/restart before entering the opposite nether portal, I'll end up at the overworld portal I entered the Nether at-- going from Overworld A, to Nether A, then entering Nether B and coming out at Overworld A, or vice versa. I think I've had it work as expected all the way through a grand total of twice, and given how many times I've forgotten to restart before jumping in the portal, I've put it through a lot of attempts
I've tried hanging around in the Nether for longer in case it's some sort of short-duration caching issue, but it appears that it just doesn't work most of the time unless it's completely freshly launched.
I am thrilled to have Minecraft on the Switch. However, a big part of how I play relies on anchoring Nether portals for faster travel in Survival mode. My properly anchored (1:6 for a medium size world) portals are behaving just as Bear_Spawner describes above. It may sound melodramatic but it does make Minecraft on the Switch unplayable for me. I'm hoping to find a work around.
Yes they seem to have fixed it with the last update. They also fixed the bug where you would fall through blocks when jumping. Glad to say it's deifinitely running a bit smoother after the last update.

YES!
I am having this exact same issue.

Has anybody had a chance to test this out since the big update?

Yep, so far seems to be pretty solid link-wise.
