I'm Homeschooled, and I've left my home schooling group a long time ago. And I don't have a "school email" How would I go about getting Education Edition?
Too bad Mojang/Microsoft don't monitor their own 'official' forums. Your question is totally valid, yet to be honest, though not so tactful, Mojang and MS have their heads where the sun don't shine and have never ever ever understood how to support users with totally valid questions. The only thing they do well is process your money into their accounts. I know it sounds cynical, but it's the ugly truth.
I am trying it a different way. Instead of using Minecraft education edition, I searched for educational maps and found loads and loads for Java and Pocket version.

I am joining the Educational world of Mine craft. I will be using a mix of Java version and the beta version on my phone to create educational videos in the classroom.
While not with a school email/whatever setup they have for it I don't know.
Education Edition features are just a setting in Bedrock (at least nowadays it is compared to when this thread started). Just select the Education Edition option to get the features of that version (elements of the Periodic Table, Chalk Board, barriers, etc.)
As long as you have a Microsoft account or whatever is needed to get Bedrock (including a purchase) then your fine. Meaning you can skip acquiring Education Edition only and having Education Edition features and regular Minecraft Bedrock features as well.
I assume there may is also a community with content that revolves around it too so maybe maps might be worth looking at.

Well that's sad.
Sheesh, that's bad... I'm also a home schooler and that sucks.... 'cause I love the chalkboard and cameras. And what's this "Code Builder" addition?
Try emailing microsoft about it.. maybe they'll reply.
Just buy a .edu email off the internet. They are everywhere and you can get it that way.
What actually is education edition could anyone explain me
It's the edition with chalkboards and cameras and NPCs and its all used to educate students in schools.
Anyway I just think that education edition isn't even worth it because you aren't really missing out on anything interesting..
