I just started playing on the XBOne, and every time I enter a seed code to start a world, it comes out nothing like it's described. I tried several different ones I had found on different sites, some very recent, and none of them seem to work. I'm clearly doing something wrong. Anyone got any idea what?

Only seeds from the newest TU31 update will match up. Anything posted from previous versions generate differently after this recent update.
Tl;dr: Ignore all old posts in here. Check out my thread in this section about a TU31 seed with diamonds close to spawn And lots of Ocean Monuments (unless you want a big Mesa Biome bc it only has a very small one) for a world that is correct now.

No problem. And keep in mind even a brand new seed from any other version than Xbox One/PS4 Will not match either. Maybe classic/small size from a 360/PS3, but who wouldn't want the Large size maps?
So nothing from PC or Pocket Edition will match up with your worlds with the same seed even.
Well, I just tried one that I thought was the right versions/TU. "quercetin" I watched a YouTube video on it that was supposed to be for the Xbone. At the spawn point, there was supposed to be a big hill and cool looking mesas not far off. My spawn point didn't have any of that. I created the large world on survival and typed "quercetin" (without The quotes) in the seed box. Maybe the info I read was wrong for that seed?
Basically, what I'm looking for is a large seed wth all the biomes, temples, and other cool stuff, with a decent size village near the ocean (my house being near the ocean helps with my mob grinder efficiency). Any seeds like that for the current Xbone version?

That makes sense. Thanks for helping out a noob, dude.

I finally got one to work! The "rabbitzombie" seed that's got a thread in this forum group worked and is a great seed!
what seed size did u put in for ribbitzombie and is it "rabbitzombie" or rabbitzombie
Large. And it's without quotes.
Here's a link to my thread about the seed: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-xbox-one-edition/mcxone-discussion/mcxone-seeds/2584404-xbox-one-tu31-large-map-seed-with-13-diamonds-near
