Give Wolfhusband a break. World generation is NOT supposed to change. If you type in the seed, you're supposed to get the same world, same biomes that generate every time. If the biomes are changing each time you create a world using the same seed... then it is a serious bug in the game that may result in file corruption down the road (i.e. making the worlds we generate ultimately unusable).
Bonus chests were random in all worlds for a long time and they regenerated with different content every time you reloaded the seed (not just if you re-created it). A few updates ago, they stopped being random and, for me at least, began generating with the same contents repeatedly every time I reloaded the same seed/world. Now, for me at least, they are not random AND they generate only once when I first create the world. This is Wolfhusband's experience as well and, furthermore, we've compared bonus chest contents on one seed... and we got exactly the same thing as each other. IF they are still random in SOME worlds, this is a serious bug... computer's/video games are programmed things and they SHOULD, if programmed right, behave consistently for every user... that is, if the intention of the developer is that bonus chests should be random... they should be random for everyone in every world... but right now, they are not.
Right now, I would certainly not encourage people to waste time re-creating the same seed over and over again in the hopes of getting a different biome than what generated the first time around. IF worlds can change biomes, if what I might generate with the same seed is different than what you might generate... sharing seeds here becomes rather pointless.
That said, there may be a "touch" of randomness occurring intentionally with the "technical" biomes (so one may or may not get the exact same Ice spikes within an ice plains biome). From information on the bug tracker, I believe 4J is taking a close look at world generation. We'll just have to see what comes out with the bug fix.
Pls MrDetective Read The Comments Before Saying A Random Word Ok!!!
What Im Saying To WolfHusband why it is a troll?? and yeah im not an idiot its just a weird bug!!! there is a weird generation bug in the worlds right now and what im saying for example you type a seed there is a mesa but all red sand. Then after that you try too CREATE A WORLD AGAIN then put the seed again and there is a mesa bryce!
and yeah this is a bug... so we will have it for a while why im giving WolfHusband a break?? i didnt argue him i just explain why its A TROLL?
i expain it the world generation is changed in Tu31 because of bugs so pls read the comments ok
and one thing this forum is full of kiddies ok
oh about the bonus chest we have this for a while now lol
i tried this on pc dont get me wrong the contents of the chest is randomize..
then someone will report because i argue him im just explaining to him!!!!!!!!

The bonus chests are NOT random right now. They were random in the past, but not for at least 3 updates now. In TU31, every time I have generated a seed (by typing in the numbers) and requested the bonus chest, the chest has generated with the SAME CONTENTS every single time. Wolfhusband did the same and we came up with the same contents as each other (which would be highly unlikely if the contents were random). Furthermore, in TU30 and prior, the chest would generate again and again, every time a person loaded their saved world (if they had broken the previous chest). This has stopped with TU31. The chest only generates once when you first create the world. I don't know or care how it is on the PC... this, right now, is the fact of how it is on the console... whether it is a bug with the bonus chests or a change 4J has made intentionally, I don't know... but PLEASE, stop trying to encourage people to re-create seeds over and over again to try to change the contents of the bonus chest. It doesn't work.
As for the biome "bug" - the stuff that seems to be possibly changing are the "technical" biomes... not the major ones. Personally, every seed I've created more than once since TU31 has been identical to the previous creations of it. I have not suddenly gotten ice spikes or bryce mesas that were not there in the first creation of the seed. I have experienced changing terrain in the nether with a nether reset and I've reported that as a bug to 4J... so, it might be happening in the overworld... but I haven't seen it yet. Still, calling Wolfhusband "false" (i.e. a liar) was out of line on your part and, I think, you owe him an apology.
It was laid out pretty simply, a ton of the younger community think that worldd generation changes if you keep reloading a seed. This is incorrect and was the result of a troll. World generation is the same every time when using one seed. It actually is impossible to generate anything other than the same seed if you continue to load the same seed.
You are correct by saying that a seed is supposed to generate the exact same map every time. Unfortunately , this is not the case right now. I've explored many seeds in creative to choose one for my survival world. Once I've found a decent one , I recreated the same world with the exact same seed (no mistakes were made while typing it , and I tried many many times to make sure it was correct) , and I got crazy changes every time I recreated the map. I took some screenshots and these 2 ones clearly show how huge the difference can be , and this is of course the exact same spot on the map using the same seed. This is like that with other places on the map and that happened in every seeds I've tried , not only in this one.

Keeeup - Would you provide the seed (numbers and words, if applicable) to the one you've shown in the photos and the coordinates, if possible, of the savannah change you've shown? As I said, I personally have not had terrain changes occur in the overworld; but I'll certainly keep testing seeds - trying to get it to happen to me. If someone can provide a seed where the bonus chest has been changing contents for them, I am quite willing to keep testing that one out as well.
Please note also that the changes you've shown involve "technical" biomes - i.e. Savannah to Savannah M (but still savannah).
The seed is -1428312164. The savannah is at x: -241 z: -155 and there is another one at x: -301 z: 152 that vary too. There is also a mesa bryce at x: -246 z: 385 that tends to change in size , and even sometimes generate as a normal mesa. It might takes a couple of tries before you get a different terrain too.
Even if it is still a Savannah and only a change to the technical biome , a seed is still supposed to generate the EXACT SAME terrain each and every time. Every single block is supposed to be at the same place every time.

Thanks, I'll give it a try as soon as I'm back near my Xbox. I agree that every block should be the same with every creation using the same seed string. That's what Wolfhusband was saying as well... mathematically, it should be impossible (or at least nearly impossible - if everything is rounding correctly) for the same seed string to generate different terrain... Unless, 4J either inadvertently or intentionally inserted a randomization factor. While, right now, I think it's probably a bug, there is also a possibility that they were looking for a means of managing the small world issue by giving people a random opportunity to get something slightly different using the same seed strings. I don't know whether they tried something here or not... it's just a speculative thought that crossed my mind.
Wow is that bug tracker a nightmare right now, I moust have seen 10-12 reports of the Door sound, it must be frustrating for 4J to have to continually clean that thing.
The world will mostly be the same with a few odd changes.
To me the world either is the same exactly, or it isn't. And why have set seeds if they aren't the same, if you can't share a set seed with others then do away with seeds all together.

Thanks keeuuup. I can absolutely verify what you're saying with this seed, plus the bonus chest on this one does change every time as well. So, first things first, I'm going to publicly apologize to XxMrFluffyxX. I'm sincerely sorry for my earlier comments.
Now, one thing I see different about this seed vs. the ones I've been generating (where the bonus chest and overworld terrain have been stable) is that I've been first generating totally random seeds (i.e. allowing the system to produce the seed string the first time I generate it), which results in a 19-digit string. This string is much shorter... so maaybeee that's making a difference(???). May I ask that you go to the Mojang Bug Tracker and find my bug report about the nether changes (MCCE-1532) and comment, giving 4J the same details about what's happening with this seed as you've given me. This is a link to the bug tracker:
Alternatively, you can find another report about the same sort of overworld changes and comment there or make your own report... I'll leave that up to you.

Interesting comment from Steven alright... although after what I've seen on keeuuup's seed, I'd say "a few odd changes" ranks as a gross understatement! I'm going to keep mucking about with generating seeds to see if I can narrow in on some connections/causes.

I haven't personally witnessed a seed, generated post update 31, change when generated multiple times. However, I have witnessed a few weird things with seed generations.
For example:
I really liked the seed I was using pre-update 31 so I tried generating it new after the update and it was completely different.
For the seed that this post was about, I generated it twice under creative mode and got the exact same seed both times. I generated it a third time under survival and not only was it different, it was completely different. The only change I made was with TNT not exploding. I assumed since this map has a desert temple, removing TNT resulted in this seed generating a different world. When I regenerated the world with TNT checked it was fine again.

It didn't take too many generations for keeuuup's seed to start coming up noticeably different. I think it was on the 3rd generation where the Bryce mesa disappeared and was replaced with a regular mesa. The bonus chest changed contents on every generation - never generating the same contents twice at all. Prior to testing out keeuuup's seed, I had done multiple generations of several random seeds, both in creative and survival, to specifically test the bonus chest contents. Those tests came up the same bonus chest as the first generation with each and every subsequent generation of the seed. Those random seeds are still coming up pretty stable as far as the overworld terrain goes (even though the nether terrain keeps changing with every reset). So far, the structures seem stable (although the bug report referenced by Gonzo2095 mentions a village coming and going on different generations of the same seed). Terrain changes still seem to be "technical" (i.e. Savannah vs. Savannah M; forest vs. flower forest; Bryce mesa vs. regular mesa, etc.)
I find it disappointing that 4J has marked that bug report MCCE-1424 as "Resolved" (presumeably by telling the person who reported it that the worlds would be "mostly the same with a few odd changes." (rolling eyes)

virtually identical bug reported as MCCE-1424, but this one is noted as resolved for TU32 the upcoming bug fix update, so maybe 4j has found the issue to seed generation and the variances created (regarding at least structures?) within the same seed.
My best recommendation is to scout out these bug reports and start watching and commenting on them.
Because of the overwhelming # of duplicate bug reports (I feel for 4j right now), it may be hit or miss on which ones get resolved and which ones are pushed aside?

Hey Gonzo2095 - I just noticed this on the bug tracker for the PC Edition... seems "technical biomes" have issues with changing around there as well and Mojang notes a fix coming for them in 1.9.

I'm late to the party cause the update was only made available on the version I own, which is the Wii U edition, but since I was looking for seeds that would have mesa, villages, at least one ruin and an ocean monument within a small world like they are in the 360 and Wii U edition, I looked at this and it had all that i wanted. Also found some spawners already in it so I might make it my new world.
I'd like to repost on the Wii U forums if it's ok with the OP, since I can confirm this seed gave me on the Wii U what the OP got on the 360. I also found the following the way it generated on mine :
Library (stronghold) X147 Y25 Z262
skeleton spawner X -74 Y47 Z -53 / X-224 Y20 Z161
spider spawner X181 Y58 Z-13
zombie spawner X278 Y28 Z406
village 1 X-164 Y71 Z49
village 2 X4 Y70 Z249

This is interesting, particularly that it includes Ice Spikes and Flower Forests, which seem to be a rarity in our new TU31 seed generations.
The issue with biomes will be fixed in the next update as seen in the change logs!
