I've been seriously searching for a new seed since the release of TU 31 to no avail. Like many others I really require too many biomes because of the small maps 360 users are stuck with. That makes getting lucky enough to have all biomes to generate as likely as winning the lotto. However, today I decided to check out a couple old save files from a couple years ago and this is the map I was sitting on the whole time! I have searched over 700 random seeds so far. I think with very few compromises I found a new home.
This seed features a fairly large mesa biome surrounded by many other biomes like desert, savannah, jungle, ocean, birch, plains..you name it. Not too soon you will find a huge mega taiga forest. It is awesome. Yes there is also a ocean monument to go along with at least 2 large villages and at least one desert temple. I havent been able to explore fully yet. The terrain generated is very cool. The extreme hills savanna is beautiful and the jungle is huge. This map has almost everything. No mushroom island. No ice spikes but there is a large ice plains and spruce area. Can't say I've found a roofed forest oddly enough but it does have a dark oak forest. Not sure about a swamp yet and no flower forest or field but I found a sunflower field. I will update as I explore but hopefully a few people find this helpful.

I worry about slimes if there is no swamp.... But... Some chunks generate slimes underground without being swamps. So if you find any of those that could help.
Sounds like an interesting seed. May have to check this one out sometime. As far as there being no roofed forest, I was under the impression that the dark oak forests were called roofed forests as their canopies make a nice roof for mobs to spawn under. Maybe I'm wrong... feel free to let me know. Good job finding one with a mesa and mega taiga!

You are correct in that assumption, dark oak are the roofed forests

Okay I just checked it out And I must say this: can we please spam ibxtoycat and eckosolgier with a request to review this seed? It's amazing. It ALMOST meets my criteria for a near perfect seed. Truly, if it had a flower forest it would... That said the mega taiga's sheer size makes up for it. It's got a reasonable land/water ratio, 60/40 I'd say. Maybe 70/30 if not for a rather large lake.
The lack of a swamp is the biggest flaw but... You can find chunks that spawn slimes underground without be I swamps... Rare as they are.
At worst I might start it in creative and make a bedrock encased automatic trader and water/ice transports to make a tamper proof trading system for slime balls or slime spawn eggs. Maybe 1 redstone block gives 1 slime ball to keep them valuable but not excessively so. A similar system could be made to say, dispense one of every flower in exchange for... Say... A lapis or something. (I don't care about leader board stuff, so as lo as it's tamper proof and can't be exploited I don't mind making such things before starting survival.)
The biggest aestetic flaw is too much desert, but even so it's not obnoxiously dominating, taking up at most 1/4 of the map.
I did find swamp biome along the south end of the map. If you look between x coordinates of 300 and 350 along the south edge you can see the water is discolored. If you build the ground up there, let the grass spread, it is swamp land. If you bone meal it later, you can get the blue orchids that are only available in swamp biomes. I don't know if it is large enough to spawn slimes. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any of the two block high flowers on this map except the sunflowers previously mentioned. No rose bushes, peonies, or lilac. Nor have I been able to find tulips.
That's what I'm saying. It met almost every need of mine. Almost. That's amazing a swamp has been found as well. Working on finding and building up land. I made this my first post because I wanted to share. It is real hard to find a good classic size world with everything. I only play and build in survival and refuse to ruin my save by switching creative on even for a second so I need as many blocks as possible to be happy.
Holy Cow!!! in the ice plains i found a ice spikes on my 3rd generate on classic and i found a flower forest too!!! and i notice too the biome generation is changed like in youre first loading it will not be there but in youre second load will be there!!! best seed so far!!! thx and cheers!!
I've heard about this world generation trick but have really never tried reloading worlds looking for things like ice spikes. Does it work on 360 or just xbox one? If that's the case I need to reload my game before I get too far into my build.

its a troll. Worlds generate the exact same, every time.
It was laid out pretty simply, a ton of the younger community think that worldd generation changes if you keep reloading a seed. This is incorrect and was the result of a troll. World generation is the same every time when using one seed. It actually is impossible to generate anything other than the same seed if you continue to load the same seed.

I'm going to say that's true for the most part. Right now, however, strange things are indeed happening. When I generated the seed IAMBALDUR888 put up - "Golden Apple," I didn't get a single spawner he identified in his video. (Baldur has been around on the forums for a long time and I have come to trust him.) More recently, I've discovered that the terrrain in my nether is changing a bit with every reset I do. The fortress is staying the same and there is only one chest with the same contents each time... but the locations of glowstone, lava falls, quartz and even significant amounts of netherrack are changing. The changes in the amount of netherrack around the fortress even moved my nether portal about 15 blocks on one reset. (If someone wouldn't mind checking out resets on there nether - I'd appreciate knowing if they are noting similar differences. I have reported the nether changes on the bug tracker and 4J have assigned Stuart Ross to the issue.)
However, I would agree - people should definitely not count on regenerating the same seed over and over again to get biomes that weren't present in their first generation of the seed. From what I've seen... that hasn't changed yet.

?????????? sorry i didnt get you there lad......
world generation does not change? well youre pretty false with that. world generation does change because i do notice in my seed i was trying to reload the bonus chest... because i was trying to get jungle saplings and cocoa beans and yeah i did get some!! and yes i notice that my seed has a few alterations when i i try to create the seed again the mesa for example first load all red sand second create mesa bryce!
PS:BONUS CHEST IS NOW RANDOM IN SOME WORLDS:
and what im telling when you create the world and get its seed..... i spawn in a big forest they said there is a flower forest but no..
try create another world and put the seed again i do notice now there is a flower forest!!
if you meant loading the world.. then i was talking create the world again... i hope you understand my poor english mate.......

Give Wolfhusband a break. World generation is NOT supposed to change. If you type in the seed, you're supposed to get the same world, same biomes that generate every time. If the biomes are changing each time you create a world using the same seed... then it is a serious bug in the game that may result in file corruption down the road (i.e. making the worlds we generate ultimately unusable).
Bonus chests were random in all worlds for a long time and they regenerated with different content every time you reloaded the seed (not just if you re-created it). A few updates ago, they stopped being random and, for me at least, began generating with the same contents repeatedly every time I reloaded the same seed/world. Now, for me at least, they are not random AND they generate only once when I first create the world. This is Wolfhusband's experience as well and, furthermore, we've compared bonus chest contents on one seed... and we got exactly the same thing as each other. IF they are still random in SOME worlds, this is a serious bug... computer's/video games are programmed things and they SHOULD, if programmed right, behave consistently for every user... that is, if the intention of the developer is that bonus chests should be random... they should be random for everyone in every world... but right now, they are not.
Right now, I would certainly not encourage people to waste time re-creating the same seed over and over again in the hopes of getting a different biome than what generated the first time around. IF worlds can change biomes, if what I might generate with the same seed is different than what you might generate... sharing seeds here becomes rather pointless.
That said, there may be a "touch" of randomness occurring intentionally with the "technical" biomes (so one may or may not get the exact same Ice spikes within an ice plains biome). From information on the bug tracker, I believe 4J is taking a close look at world generation. We'll just have to see what comes out with the bug fix.
