Just curious, anyone else who plays MC on a laptop notice that it seems to generate less heat after the update? My laptop used to get up to 90+ degrees C, now it only peaks around 80.
EDIT: Sorry, this should probably be in the general discussion forum.
I haven't updated the game yet but that's an interesting find. My laptop heats a lot when playing MineCraft and I want to see if this is true for other people.
Wait a second... 80 degrees Celsius? Just did some searching and research and even breathing that air is enough to burn your lungs out..
On topic:
On my PC it has cooled down from 45C to around 33C after 1.8 update. I guess it's to do with it being somewhat more optimized and using less CPU causing it to not overheat as much.
They did a lot of optimizations for the game in 1.8. I don't notice a heat difference as I am using my hand-built gaming PC, but I can tell through other means that the optimizations helped a lot. The optimizations reduced the amount of things all processing at once, so your CPU isn't running a mile a minute trying to keep up any more, which is reducing the temps.
