Currently, I'm looking for a modder. Here's the criteria:
-You need to have already made at least 1 mod so I can actually see how good you are at modding.
-You need to be pretty decent at modding to begin with.
-To make a mod, it must contain just the original crossrails. That's all it needs to qualify. The crossrail you put in must fit the description of the original crossrail.
Quote this post and give me an example of a mod you have created if you're interested. If the mod is good, I will message you and further discussion will take place there.
I believe that this is a pretty good idea. I can't tell you how many times I have needed to change y levels to avoid running into another track. My only question is how would it work when two minecarts entered the intersections at the same time? Support

They would collide and probably bump each other back. Either that or they would pass through each other since they are entities.
I've added a lot of content to this thread. The original idea, about 2 months ago, was so tiny. Now, it's huge and expansive! But now, there isn't a ton to add. It will mostly be formatting fixes, minor changes, and very occasionally, a new change to current rail or debated topic. Should I continue updating, or should I leave it and call it finished?
The update system needs to go back to normal. I know I said I would do an update every week this summer, but I've been really busy lately. So, it's back to 1 update per month.
I like the idea of crossroad rails, and of dyed rails.... But I don't think there should be every kind of crossroads, and I don't think that the rails shouldn't snap into position.
Powered Rails and such do not bend or turn, only plain rails. I don't think there should be special any of those kind of rails.
And I don't reaaally think that crossroad rails should be a crafted thing. I think it would be more of a "Shift right click the rail, and it switches between all the available settings, such as turned one way, turned the other, straight, dead end, t-bone, or crossroads."
I like the idea. I just think its a bit too complicated.
The dye is a really good plan though.

Very good suggestion. I personally would love this to be added. Honestly, I'm surprised why something good like this haven't been added in yet. It's so good!
These would be a good idea for a rollercoaster map. The new crossrail would, if I'm not mistaken, allows for the player to have multiple minecart going at different direction without interrupting those exact same minecart. Very compact indeed. The new dyed rail would be pretty unique, and allows for more creativity. It's also allow for the player to tell which rail lead to which. For example:-
Red rail could be used to lead to lava area. Blue rail could be used to lead to ocean monument. Stuff like that. The T-junction rail and corner rail has potential, but it feels like they're the minor part of the suggestion. Crossrail and dyed rail is most likely the major part of the suggestion. Anyways..

Read the entire thread before you reply. Speed rails aren't in it and haven't for a month or so.Add me on steam!

Well, I suppose I'll be keeping the current update system since there wasn't a lot of feedback on the poll.

I honestly like the auto-corner rails rather than crafting them, as it is more convenient that way.
