Witch Curses
------------------
Simple, if the players takes too long to kill witches (suggest period of time for me), the player will be cursed for 2 days, which exists as a very long potion effect, which can not be removed using milk.
It's rare that witches will curse you, and you can skip curse time by sleeping. (so that no more people keep missing this part.)
Gimme feedback so we can develop on this idea, i don't know if it's good but here's my wishing well coin i guess.
CURSES-
Being slightly slower.
Being slightly weaker (losing 3/2 life hearts that can not be recharged)
Getting hungry faster (slightly faster depletion)
Clumsiness. (Unable to do some tasks such as repairing broken tools, slightly nausea effect on screen (not too severe)
Suggest more.
If the player gets cursed but leaves the cursing witch alive, then returns to kill her they might lose their curse.
Why implement an effect which will cause players to never leave their home for an approximate two Minecraft days? Even if you sleep through it, you would still have to go through the day cycle in order to sleep once again.
This adds no challenge, only to make sure that you defeat a witch before it inflicts an irritating effect on you which you cannot remove unlike other effects. Also, you haven not stated what the effect does to a player/mob.

Actually, the idea of a curse is nice... maybe as a random event? small chance to get cursed when kill or hit the witch would be nice..

It's not really the worst curse, it just adds challenge to gameplay, nothing very hard, it's up to you if you're too scared to go outside due to a small hinder, that's what some people like in minecraft, survival.
This adds no challenge, only to make sure that you defeat a witch before it inflicts an irritating effect on you which you cannot remove unlike other effects.
I thought i cleared out that getting cursed is a random and rare event
Also, you haven not stated what the effect does to a player/mob.
That is why i put it here, so other players with useful feedback can build upon it.
I suggest you review the original topic once more before giving feedback, thank you.
It's not really the worst curse If you assume not having the abilty to repair tools, spend around 10-20 minutes playing with nausea effect, getting affected with slowness, having your hunger deplete faster and wanting to consume more of your food, and loosing 7 heart points which you cannot regenerate, then yes, it's not the worse. it just adds challenge to gameplay Slightly does, but then again, it adds tedious work, and a less motive to fight Witches if one was to be inflicted with effects like these. nothing very hard, it's up to you if you're too scared to go outside due to a small hinder, that's what some people like in minecraft, survival. Some, but not all. And this 'small hinder' will be extremely bothersome for a long duration chances if you are inflicted with it.
I thought i cleared out that getting cursed is a random and rare event A certain percentage would be appreciative.
That is why i put it here, so other players with useful feedback can build upon it. I'm not going to respond to the last part of this, likewise I do not want to start an argument. I have given you feedback in my post saying that you have not stated what the effects are. And since you are the OP, it is your job to reflect on your thread and fix your mistakes. How does useful feedback reflect upon building up your suggestion? You still needed to list some sort of effect, because it left me and probably others clueless.
I suggest you review the original topic once more before giving feedback, thank you. I will, and thank you for responding to my critic review.
After reading the thread once again, this now adds tedious work due to the Clumsiness effect added to the Witch Curse. Most likely this would lower a player's motive to actually do work due to the lack of abilities the player may want to do.
well, let's just say we just need more variation of witches. just like spider and cave spider or skelly and wither skelly. maybe instead of every witch could do that, just add some witch that are capable of doing that, that way, not so many people get's annoyed by the curse. maybe somekind of a boss variant? (I think this is somewhat off topic)

Slightly does, but then again, it adds tedious work,
There's a small chance that performing computed tomography will increase the risk of cancer in an individual, however, everyone still does it. ( :

#Note - I apologize if i sounded aggressive, it's how i am.
#Note 2 - One misunderstanding of the topic rooted 3 invalid points.
mostly agreeing with the above, i only have to add:
The Clumsiness is quite a neat idea, but i would suggest the unability to craft instead.
when minecraft is defined by mining and crafting, then Clumsiness is the logical counterpart to Mining Fatigue, taking away one core ability (and being very, very, very annoying to the player).

This is cool, but would make a witch too OP. I don't like it, sorry. Besides, what does it do to make minecraft better? I like the current mobs, and they don't need to be changed.

CURSES-
Gameplay wise, this sounds very, very annoying. Just because these curses are rare doesn't really save it from the annoyance this would cause because they're still... there. No one wants to be semi-permaslowed or have nausea view for 2 days.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.

I dont think many people would like slowness or a annoying potion effects for 2 days or 5 minutes I do like the idea of the curse. Just it would be better if it werent a minecraft potion effect it would be better to make your own effect using mods or something. like making the graphics of the game change for 10 minutes making mobs look scary or making you see things that arent really there. so what I am saying is it would be cool to make this interesting but not op you dont have to take my idea but its just a suggestion.
I misread the part about sleeping to skip the curse time, but it's still an unfun burden on players. I mean, Witches already pelt you with annoying splash potions.

I would support but don't make the curse last 2 days as it will just annoy the player and prevent them from playing. Perhaps make the curse last half a day and milk can cure it, or add something that is a new "cure potion" to the game that will cure witch curses.
now the idea of the cure is a interesting idea aswell. mabye witches can drop new items that you can mix with waterbottles in the brewing stand to get the cure? I would support this somehow I dont know how to code or animate but I guess I can help with something. just it would be more fair if you read my post about the grahpics changing or making the mobs look scarier with like shadowy animations. or even something like changing what the world looks like to you for a few minutes.

There are two extremely invalid arguments you used here.
1.) You're using the word "challenge" the wrong way. A challenge (in the context of gameplay) is something that requires effort to overcome, generally coming with a reward matching the difficulty of what was just surmounted. Your idea isn't that, it's just a pure disadvantage that can't be avoided when confronted with a Witch.
2.) Us "being scared to leave our houses" is not what the main issue is, it's your idea. It's just better and easier on things overall if your idea simply just isn't implemented. You are stamping the problem on the wrong end of the field.
This adds no challenge, only to make sure that you defeat a witch before it inflicts an irritating effect on you which you cannot remove unlike other effects.
I thought i cleared out that getting cursed is a random and rare event
You haven't cleared anything. This being rare and random has no relation to anything being a challenge... I don't understand what your counterargument is supposed to be here.
Also, you haven not stated what the effect does to a player/mob.
That is why i put it here, so other players with useful feedback can build upon it.
I suggest you review the original topic once more before giving feedback, thank you.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt. Nope. Wrong wrongedy wrong wrong. That is not how the suggestion forum works. Develop the idea in full, then take feedback into account. Not the other way around. What you're doing is waiting for others to complete your idea, which is against the rules here.

why do you keep argueing with other players about this isnt it better if you were to listen to people and mabye take there ideas to see what other people like? If not then people are just going to be saying no support if thats what you want its up to you and its your idea though. I may make a new post similar to this in the future about witchs giving curses that make you see mobs that arent there or installing a temeporary texture pack then uninstalling it when it ends.

The OP is doing the right thing and he is reading each opinion or 'idea' of what people think of it. He is explaining about things that might be wrong about our responses. But so far, nothing has really cleared up about them. Also, 'taking in ideas of what people like' is known as Idea Farming, which is against the rules.
Nevertheless, he does a good job as the OP and takes in every response into account. It's a matter of sharing thought and opinion, not about telling or forcing people to support.
