Oh, so that's what you meant. That'll actually be useful, because I was making a structure in creative out of furnace and I was really annoyed how i move down every-time I place a block on the furnace. good idea.
CTRL, the sprint key, should do the same, but with alternate placements.
This means that if you CTRL + Right-Click a Piston, it will face away from you instead of at you.
If you CTRL + Right-Click a Slab on the ground, it will be an Upper Slab, instead of a Lower Slab.
Repeaters would swap directions, Levers would spawn activated, Daylight Sensors would start inverted...
I could go on and on, but you get the gist of it.
In Creative Mode, CTRL doesn't do much, since flight controls are bounded to Shift and Space. It would make Blocks Placements much easier.
CTRL allows you to fly faster.
