Quite the clever way to save on space :2
Compact enough to where a similar concept could have "applications" in survival gameplay -__- through some sort of "communication network" not unlike the telephone lines we have in today's society
Regardless -__- I sent you a message, check your inbox

Hello TheMinecraftTNT ... Bartin here -__-
It's essentially a device that says, "this input (1 hexbit and 1 binary bit in the keyboard's case) = this symbol to display on the screen"
A popular ... if oversized method of doing this is having overlapping rows and columns of redstone where each row represents a segment (this is where we get the term 7-segment display -__-) to be displayed while each column represents an individual symbol... of course for the not so faint of heart there exists other ways to accomplish this task involving "item sorters"...
Guess I made that one too. btw it's 2 fps and slow as hell. Use the 10 fps repeater disp instead plz...
PS. Gotta return my phone again because of the bootloop issue. so no skype yet
Ohh, cool! Sorry, forgot the name briefly and hadn't seen your new profile pic. Oops.
It'd be cool to try putting together the 10 FPS display, this keyboard, and a tiny RS CPU.
Maybe it would be possible to make a tiny "simulation" CPU that just has memory, the decoder, some GPIO, and only one half-adder that you could use to simulate an adder of whatever size? I'd bet it would be possible to make it pretty compact. I may have to try this. Admittedly I know nothing about branch predictio, pipelines, and that kind of stuff though.

Let's say I made a screen, how do I wire it with this? (Sorry I'm still new to those stuff)
Oh, a decoder, of course. And what is that supposed to do?

Thanks for the explanation, and why that face "-__-"?
It is integral to my personal lore -__-
Cool stuff! I think this would go well with that 2.5FPS flat 1 pixel per block display someone made.
