He was poking around inn the Wither. Meaning the Wither's CODE. What's in the Wither's code? Well something that the Enderdragon has too, since they're both bosses. New boss confirmed.
It could be something in the Wither... the Nether Star? Maybe it's part of his "Ultimate Plan" involving Dragon Eggs and Endermites!
