just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife,big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed

Yeah, but it isn't Modcraft. Personally, I still think that if Mojang wants people to have the maximum fun in Vanilla, they should first start adding the mods that feel like they belong in Vanilla with proper permission and credit (E.G. Redstone Paste, More Pistons, "The Slime block from the Future", Extra Utils, In-Game Wiki, TYNKYN, Too much TNT, Geochests, etc) and then go on to the larger mods (Buildcraft, Industrialcraft 2, Redpower 2, Thermal Expansion, etc). Personally, i can't wait until they add in Redstone Flux in Vanilla.

Yep, so true. I'm on the verge of leaving Minecraft when most of the mods update to 1.8.. I hope they add a feature to have 1.7.10 AI and rendering system and stuff..

Okay, I know some of you are having lag issues, IM NOT, I'm not 'not seeing the bad in this update' I simply haven't had lag.
FPS Rates for MY game in 1.7-1.8
1.7 = 5-7 FPS
1.8 = 21-30 FPS
So see^ My game has improved with 1.8, I don't see why all your games were lagging when mine is doing (for my computer at least) really good!

I would complain about lag but I stopped using my 5 year old computer and built a new one. FPS went from 20 to 540, so I don't think I have to worry about that anymore. I still think the rabbits look disgusting and putting buttons on ceilings doesn't make them any easier to use, so the update is still terrible.

It's really not bad of an update, but other updates would get cranked out in 3-4 months with slightly more content (they even had life to attend to in those months along with holidays).

It'll probably go 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, etc etc etc. Complete version increments, so 1.0 -> 2.0 usually signify a HUGE patch to the software, so maybe a complete rewrite from the ground up, new revised product, sequal to original product, etc.
