Hello? Eat my tarts? In this cosmic dance of bursting decadence, withheld permissions twist all our arms collectively. But if sweetness can win- and it can- then I'll still be here tomorrow to high five you yesterday my friend. Peace.
That sounds very fun! I also kinda giggled at the jihad part lol... Sharia law seems harsh to me, but other than that I found your mosques and habits very cool!
You should get a mod for 24-hour time... Then you could pray 5 times a day in kinda real-life time! I have a plugin for that on my server, adds to the realism.
am sorry but whats the point of this like its a game its meant to be fun. maybe am just not getting the point here but. so is it saying that am Canadian i should eat maple syrup everyday in game ( if it was added) sorry i just dont understand the point
Because some people find it an enjoyable challenge? Same as with any other type of role-play in an open-ended game.

I couldn't access my old account for some reason (23232323), this is my new one.

Did you even read the post?I think you just straight up read the title and judged..the OP played Minecraft too long and is bored so he/she decided to make a challenge to play like a Muslim which adds some interesting things into the game play.
Kudos OP,you did a great job especially posting this as we all can have a challenge now.
Looks like a really interesting idea. I ought to try this sometime. Some rules will probably be easier to follow (or find a way to follow) than others, of course.
1) I never eat pork anyway. My staple food is usually baked potatoes, except for that one Algaecraft base where I mostly ate lobster (is lobster okay? Edit: Ah, it is.) I notice that the meat of animals killed by cactus, thornbush, flux taint or falling off a cliff is also forbidden, as are animals I kill by blasting or thwacking them with my staff.
2) This might be a little trickier. I like to trade with villager butchers, and they have a trade where they buy pork and another where they sell it, and if you want to trade with them indefinitely you'll need to make both trades (probably several times) to do so. Suggestions?
3) Does that extend to not throwing away rotten flesh? Also, what are the rules for if food has a non-eating use, like breaking them down for essentia in a Thaumcraft arcane furnace? Doing that last one is pretty important, since food items are the best sources of Victus for powering lamps of fertility.
4) Sure. Not that that's likely to happen even in vanilla, much less with Growthcraft installed.
5) I suppose I'd need to be a bit more careful about how I move, since no more just sucking up fall damage. At least until I get some nice Feather Fall boots. Thaumcraft infusion enchanting also presents a problem, since it hurts you a bit when it draws the experience from you. I also probably couldn't make any TC things that give me permanent warp.
Prayer
1) This could be difficult, since I tend to build large portions of my bases underground and quite often lose track of time entirely. I suppose I could just put up a lot of framed clocks to keep myself reminded (or, y'know, build all above ground for once). And of course I'd need to learn some prayers to say. Also, wouldn't the midnight prayer be impossible if you sleep through the night?
2) Not too hard, I could steal your design for the room with the holes. Too bad the light levels stay constant during the day, otherwise I could make a daylight-sensor-based noteblock thingamajig.
3) Sure.
4) Spawnpoint, like you said. Maybe I could build the Kaaba out of pink stained clay, and just forget the brick lines (or perhaps build something else entirely, since it isn't the building itself that's sacred. Probably won't though). Same in any Mystcraft ages I spend a lot of time in, although in some of those I'd have to decide which sun to watch! The Nether doesn't have a spawnpoint, but I could build a kaaba at the origin (y=0, x=0), or just always consider the Nether to be "traveling" and not combine RoI with my planned live-in-the-nether experiment. It would be tough to pray there anyway, since it has no sun and makes clocks go haywire.
5) My base has plank/jack-o'-lantern flooring, not sure if that's natural but I'd probably be going to a designated prayer room anyway.
Witchcraft/Magic
Tricky. I cannot play without Thaumcraft, which adds a lot of magical stuff. On the other hand, Thaumcraft is mostly about gathering and using naturally-occurring energies and essences, as opposed to ever interacting with Jinn or any other spirits, so it's probably fine. Edit: The Infernal Furnace will certainly need to go, since if you read between the lines it's obviously a magically bound Blaze. Pity, because the Infernal Furnace is awesome. Same with the Nine Hells wand focus.
I may have to give up golems, since they are definitely magic involving nonhuman beings, and making them uses both soul essentia and magical flame. On the other other hand, it's pretty much impossible to have an evil golem (flavor text for advanced golems notwithstanding, and I never use those anyway), and you say Jinn are both. I figure golems are more like robots, and apparently there's a fatwa saying that robots other than androids are okay.
As for the vanilla nether...well you're not communicating with the pigmen are you? You're either ignoring or fighting them, and I'm usually doing the former. On the other hand there's the other nether residents, and I do fight and interact with forget it I'm just ignoring the whole issue like you.
I suppose the "no alcohol" thing means I couldn't use Growthcraft booze, but I never did get around to using those anyway. Potion brewing isn't alcohol and doesn't involve jinn, so there should be no problem. (As an un-Minecraft aside, I wish more religions had rules about not just relying on prayer to heal your ills. Christian Scientists in particular make my ears shoot steam.)
I should also read up on Islamic law, and see if the experiment would continue to be fun if I followed that too. Even in SSP, it would probably influence my interactions with villagers. Probably a good idea in its own right (the reading, that is), it might have ideas I can use.
Once I finish an Islam run, I can try it with other religions too. It's a perfect middle ground for sensitivity experiments: enough to give me a glimpse of what it's like to be a Muslim/Christian/Hindu/Pastafarian/whatever, without being an imposition on my life or raising uncomfortable ethics-of-belief questions.

You want a farm, you grab a hoe. You want a boat, you grab some wood. You want a fireplace, you grab A FLAMING HELL-BOULDER BECAUSE THAT'S HOW MINECRAFTERS ROLL!!!
It's a lot easier now than it was then, of course, given the various new types of food and such. Still, could be interesting how it's different in modern minecraft.
Hey, never thought of playing with religious context in gaming xD! Should make a server for this xD anyways not to be off topic, but why do muslims not eat porn yet they eat other meats :D? Just wondering

Short version: swine are unclean. Long version: the Wikipedia entry on Islamic dietary laws is an interesting read.

It seems interesting. I'm an omnivore, I couldn't do that, with those pig's eyes just begging me to kill them!

Very interesting. When I start my next world, I'll probably try that if I decide TC eldritch stuff isn't worth it. One quick question: drinking alcohol isn't allowed, but a lot of the other rules have exceptions for if the alternative is death. If I absolutely have to do something dangerous, would it be acceptable to drink growthcraft mead, which provides regen?
Since there are vanilla regen potions that we've established aren't alcohol, I'd say not.

Prayer timing is a lot easier now if you use Bibliocraft. That adds its own clock that can be set to chime at selected times of Minecraft day.

What a great idea! Something to give you a little more challenge is always nice. (Love that you used the Fallout series as an example, too!) You handle inflammatory posts amazingly well, too, and I love how you explain Islam in a way that makes sense. Your mosques are GORGEOUS.
I really have to get back to playing Minecraft. But... but... Tale of Two Wastelands...

Can I correct some of your rules:
You can't consider Zombie Pigman as Chitan because they aren't human at all
if you want to build the Quaaba using the Compass ' just build it in the spawn place or chang it using /setworldspawn
it's illegal to eat pork even it's the only food you can found in the world
it illegal to eat rotten flesh

Well, you see, in Islam, Satan is not human at all. Also, one is allowed to eat pork if there is no other edible food in the area. Although the idea of the Ka'bah is interesting

Well, you see, in Islam, Satan is not human at all.
To clarify: As I understand it, Satan was either the king or a king of the Jinn (people of fire created before humans) and a bit of a racist/egotist. When God unveiled his latest and greatest creation, Adam, Satan refused to bow before this creature of dirt, and reacted really badly when God insisted.
I assume that this is why you shouldn't talk to Jinn, you might get one who works for Satan and would try to use you as a lever to damage or topple humanity.
The Nether is a place of fire and its (vanilla) inhabitants are all comfortably immune to it, so Jinn isn't an unreasonable interpretation.
